Honestly the only way to avoid underage providers is to not see anyone who claims to be 18 - 20. Those are the "go to" ages for minors especially just plain 18, trust me- from someone who knows.

Is there really a problem with underage independent providers? I know there are pimps who have streetwalkers who are underage. Pimps probably also have underage girls on sites like BP. I'm sure some agencies use underage girls. Now, I'd avoid that crowd if they claimed to be 18, but for truly independent providers, is it really a big problem?

It probably isn't a rampart problem but it is always something that hobbyist should be concerned about.

From my experience there are two types on underage providers

1. The type that is easily influenced or coerced and put into a situation against her will.

2. The type that knows what big money is involved in hobbying ( think about it, a 16 year old student getting handed 100+ for just 30 minutes of work! she's gonna keep doing it) and she has no concern for incriminating men who are unknowingly sleeping with an underage girl.

It might not be as big of a problem as the news always makes it out to be but they are still a problem. It is very easy when you are young to get lured into that kind of situation willingly or unwillingly.

I will admit when I was younger I did take some liberties that I really shouldn't have so I know how easy it is to fly by the radar.

I agree, best practice is to not see anyone that looks too young, or claims to be 18 or so. If in doubt just don't do it.

If an adult is so stupid as to unknowingly have sexual relations with a 16 year old or younger, it makes no difference if you were showed an ID or not. Your going to jail.

The way most State Laws read, a minor cannot consent to sexual relations with an adult. Period. It is the adults responsibility to say "no".

Personally.. Id still avoid. Heck I wont even see a man who is under 25. The teenage mentality is just not my cup of tea. Granted they are fun to look at... but god forbid he or she get angry... I remember being young, getting my feelings hurt, and then acting without thinking.
I agree most under aged girls are pimped and nearly forced into this lifestyle.. but I know some independents too and have read stories recently of some that are NOT indeed 18. You have to ask yourself.... is time with her or him for that matter worth the risk?

For me, the ideal provider is a college co-ed around 21 years old. I know in some college towns, it is almost a cottage industry for co-eds to be escorts/providers. The reason I like seeing this type of provider is that a) they usually are attractive and b) they are motivated. The fact they are in college just tells me they are somewhat intelligent and have personal drive which at times can be a turn on. Like I said before, I'm not trolling for the 18 years olds. It is more of the younger 20-somethings I'm interested in. I think it is unfair to say those who are 20 are all liars about their age. BTW, I think some states have younger age of consent than 18.

Are you equating "truly independent" with advertising and being reviewed on eccie in the independent reviews? Because if you are, you are mistaken.

There are definitely underage escorts who have advertised and been reviewed on ASPD and eccie. I can think of five escorts over the years that I have very good reason to believe were under 18 when they started. No telling how many more that it never became known that they were really under 18, but I'd guess it's many times more than those I've heard of. Of course, there's been hundreds, if not thousands, of escorts claiming to be 18-21 on the the review boards over the years, so I wouldn't say it's common for them to be underage. But, I also wouldn't say it's extremely rare.

Kinda true and kinda not. Legally, being shown a fake ID is not a defense. However, there is a ton of prosecutorial discretion in who to charge and what to charge them with. Likewise, there is much discretion in what punishment is received. If ever faced with the possibility of criminal charge, I'd much rather the facts be that I was lied to about her age than I didn't care, or worse, had reason to believe she was underage.
