I am not aware of the President personally "threatening a journalist." If the Prez were to do so, I might have a different opinion.

I hate to do this but Woodward did NOT say that he was being threatened by Obama, he said that he was (as he took it) being threatened by a "very senior White House official". I suppose that could be from between Obama to the elevator operator Joe Biden.

A "White House" official does not speak without Obama's authorization. If Obama hadn't meant to say that, he would have retracted it, and reprimanded whoever said it. Don't kid yourself. That is the message Obama wants to send. "Do not report negative information on us, even when it is factual, or you will face consequences." You know what that makes him? You got it.

It will be interesting to see how the story develops. If it is true, I expect an attempt at a hatchet job on Woodward, but he might be hard to tarnish. If Obama's henchman are throwing around threats, that is disconcerting.
