Growing up, we were taught how to read the NYTs, how to fold the NYTs, how to enjoy the NYTs.....we would do annual class trips to the NYTs headquarters.....but now a days, they have drifted so far left, today's NYTs is un-bearable.....but they still remain the most powerful daily newspaper (and source) in American politics.....news editors at CBS, NBC, ABC wake up every morning and ask themselves, "what does the NY Times have to say today"......what leads in the NYTs in the morning, generally leads the broadcast news channels in the evening. Less so than a decade ago, but still very influential in defining the agenda and debate.
