the census asks your race as well
are you white or white Hispanic ......all sorts of dumb race questions
dividing one into little divisions of nonsense
but asking if you are a citizen ..yes its a good help in apportioning electors and the house of representatives ....that's a good thing

In California, if you get a drivers license you are automatically registered to vote. But you don't need to prove your citizenship to get a drivers license. so that's how they get on the rolls in the first place...then they show up to vote with a drivers license and a bill from their address and boom...non-citizen voter. That's why libs love the motor voter laws. They also don't want the rolls reviewed to strike them off (or in Chicago to remove the dead) Them Libs are all about winning...even if they have to cheat to do it. After that, they legalize everyone...thus ensuring they win again at the next election. Our Country is slowly being stolen from us assuredly as the sun rises in the East.
But, if we won't fight for it, we don't deserve to keep it.

AND from 1950 till 2010, it was still asked about on the LONGER forms, which maybe 1 in 7 people got, vice the short form which everyone got..

BUT as long as the census is being used to apportion both federal funds AND SEATS in congress, i do NOT SEE ANY valid purpose in counting illegal aliens.

as long as there is a court ruling that services must be provided to illegals, illegals have to be counted so that states and other business know what to budget for.[/QUOTE]
Then perhaps we need the Scotus, to rule once and for all, whether illegal invaders ARE or are not entitled to those services (both state and federal)..

LEGALLY, they can't. BUT too many liberals have all pushed to get them the right to vote, even if only locally (for school board elections) OR for state/federal ones (like ca does)..

The lib-retards are advocating for a new "3/5's Clause". They want illegals to count for purposes of congressional apportionment, but then the lib-retards will pick the candidate they want while the illegals have no voice. Dim-retards are trying to reinstate what they lost during the Civil War.

forgot that there were 2 forms, long & short. the article doesn't make clear which form was involved.

this counting of illegals affects more on the state & local level than federal. states have to plan for their budget so have to include them in their calculations.

the lower court & supreme court have made rulings in this area. states have always lost if they tried to use U.S. citizenship as a requirement.
some of the rulings are contradictory... states try to enforce federal law and they're told that they cannot enforce federal law, only feds can.
It would be up to Congress to fix this and it is telling that they have not done so.

I don't take it personal... Your opinion isn't worth used toilet paper to anyone but yourself. And even that's debatable.
