The MSM is covering for Obama. As they always do. If W had tried to pull something like this, they would have tarred and feathered him. (Not a bad idea, but they are not fair, nor are they balanced.)

I don't think MSM is going to be able to keep the lid on this one. It stinks too bad. Fox News is going to cover Benghazi relentlessly. There is too much smoke not be be fire. Talk radio is completely obsessed with the story. Drudge is hitting it hard.

A former special Op's guy called in to Rush's show with his take on why Obama didn't use military force. He said Obama was terrified that a rescue mission might have failed like Carter's failed rescue attempt in Iran. Obama feared the political consequences of a botched military strike so close to an election.

Obama was betting he could lie about the nature of the attack, and get away with it till after the election. It looks like he bet wrong.

Panetta's defense is calling the criticism "monday morning quarterbacking"...that won't fly, not after weeks of lying and deception by the WH.

The issue will become the cover up, as it always does...not the initial response.

It's like Monday morning quarterbacking when the home team just lost 200 to nothing and ran in the wrong direction every time they got the ball.
