Limbaugh is just an entertainer. He's not even remotely objective. He knows who his core audience is and he is rich because of his knowledge of them. I would take everything he says with a grain of salt and leave it at that and hardly treat it as the gospel.

To me, he's like taking Howard Stern seriously. They both make a shit load of money to be outlandish on the radio. He does his job well and so does Stern. I listen to neither one of them because I believe they are both silly and a complete waste of time to do so.

I make my living dealing with numbers. I'm overly objective because of that so I don't care for listening to subjective radio clowns who do what they do to boost their ratings and net worths. That's just me though and I realize I don't view things like many. That's a me problem and not a you problem.

Just enjoy listening to whatever you want. Isn't that why people listen to the radio?

yup.. he is knowledgeable and often "reasonable", but at his core he's an Entertainer. reasonable and knowledgeable won't land you on National Radio with a mass audience. Howard Stern is super smart, and not so pompous as to believe he is anything more than an Entertainer.. Limbaugh believes he's wealthy because he is IMPORTANT, and the Country's direction depends on his musings.

Stern doesn't take himself seriously. I actually enjoyed watching his show at night when I was in high school. I believe it was on the "E" channel but I could be wrong about which channel aired it.

Stern just likes his money. Unlike Limbaugh to me, he knows who he is and is just laughing all the way to the bank. He knows his core audience and he caters to them. Limbaugh does the same. They're both rich for a reason. And good for them.

I don't begrudge either one of them for how they obtained their enormous wealth. Their fans like listening to them because they are entertainers. Why not capitalize on that simple fact?
