Clinton had the ability to kill OBL easily. Sudan basically handed him OBL on a silver platter. Supposedly, Clinton didn't take out OBL because he didn't have enough evidence to act (per Janet Reno). More likely, he focus grouped it and figured it wasn't politcally wise.

. . . Only a totally dysfunctional religion could convince any rational groups human beings that learning to fly a plane and hijacking an airliner and crashing into buildings and killing thousands of innocent lives would somehow advance their cause and please God.

I'm pretty sure he didn't consult congress on something like that. When Obama gave the go ahead to take OBL congress was definitly not in the loop. They are aren't very good at keeping secrets.

Ekim has forgotten (or he hopes you have) that we tried cruise missiles in Afghanistan and it didn't work for Clinton. He equivacated to prevent collateral damage (his claim) and we missed. Clinton never tried again and we got the USS Cole attack and 9/11.
Bush had to go into Afghanistan as they attacked us on 9/11. Barry made a choice when he took office. He could have declared victory and came home but he didn't. Obama called Afghanistan the good war during the campaign and his big mouth painted the US into a corner. Even if he couldn't leave Barry could still not support his generals with immediate aid. Obama had to tapdance around for 100 days until forced to make a decision. That decision was to lose the war but not just yet. He wanted to wait until 2014 to lose the war so he could get reelected at the cost of needless US lives wasted.

Clinton was told that Afghanistan was were they sent OBL then he would not be able to mount an attack until 2001. 2001? No skin off Clintons ass then.

Afghanistan attacked us on 9-11? They were all Saudi nationals. We attacked Afghanistan because they don't have oil. Saudi Arabia does.
