ROTFLMAO, even though I think Trump as speaker is a terrible idea.

Is it? I still think the entertainment value would far outweigh any damage to the nation. I mean seriously the Democrats are managing us into a purposeful decline. We're the last Western nation that nominally has two opposing parties... and the leadership of the Republicans is fully on board the Democrat express train to one party rule.

The plebes are mostly too stupid to understand that keeping the rich at each others throats via party politics keeps them OFF of the neck of the little guy.

Only a fool thinks the standard of living is going to be better once the Dems have imprisoned their political opposition... (that's where they'd like to go). Heck even Hillary is floating the idea of de-programming and re-education camps for Trump supporters.

... Rather bleedin' obvious that I meant Pelosi's
office space at the Capitol.... Please at least TRY
to pay attention, as the other mates do.

... I didn't mean Pelosi's Camron space, or whatever
office space she might have at one of her-own homes,
or whatever office space she may have on a train,
or in the rain, or in Spain - or on Liberal Lane.

... I surely meant the space at the Capitol.
That she was told to vacate.

... It's NOT that complicated, mate - no need to make it so.

Salty you're clueless. Sadly, you can't even figure out how clueless you are.

bahhahhaaa
According to rightwing nutjobs, he is still potus.

IDK what all this excitement is about for next election since that means he can't serve another term.

So, *I* guess, Speaker is a viable alternative. That is, if he doesn't want to be VP canidate (sp) next election.

I posted why I think that here,

https://www.eccie.net/showpost.php?p...4&postcount=18

You and I are both fearful of the same ending, one party rule by the Democratic Party, for very different reasons.

If we have a government where Democrats control the Presidency, the Senate and the House, they'll go crazy with the spending again, like they did in 2021 and 2022. I think McCarthy as Speaker was a better bet to hold back spending than Trump would be. In May of this year under McCarthy, House Republicans did manage to claw back about $1.5 trillion of the $5 trillion+ that Democrats authorized when they were in complete power. That's quite an accomplishment, considering Republicans had a small majority and Democrats control the presidency and the Senate. Trump on the other hand went along with Nancy Pelosi, and for that matter his own party, too often on spending.

It won't matter. There is a lot of ruin in a nation... and we're not going to recover. We're one good war away from the same path the British Empire went after the Great War. The world won't end... just the standard of living here is going to go down hard... but the plebes are going to get the nation they are voting for.

How events come about to where everyone wants to kill each other, I don't know.

People should take a moment to step back and see what they are doing. As you state, it is gonna set everyone back. If it doesn't stop, hopefully permanently and give another life form a chance to dominate.
