You are assuming that the Democrats retain control of both the House and Senate.

That might not happen. If either the House or Sente don't go to the Democrats, or if both are controlled by the Republicans . . .then a (at this point) hypothetical President Harris would have a very tough time of of it trying to continue the policies of the Biden years.

Honestly, I think the majorities in Congress will flip. Ds take the House under Jeffries and Rs take the Senate under ... Cornyn?

I will happily welcome a D majority in both houses but I don't think that's necessarily good for the country, unless another Mitch McConnell arises
