I had a very beautiful woman take me on a proper romantic date one evening, not long after I came into the lifestyle. She picked me up at my place took me for a romantic dinner, where we sat out on a patio chatting and flirting. We then went out dancing at a couple of clubs and later she rented a hotel room, so we could be alone without either of our bf's interfering with our activities.

She was very attentive and thoughtful in all her actions throughout the evening and I believe her desire was to treat another woman in the way she desired to be treated by a man. Not necessarily the activities, but that feeling you get when someone makes you feel as if you are the only person in a room and there are actually many around you.

Most romantic/creative thing a guy ever did for me: I was with a man who worked in advertising. He found out that I love dark chocolate. He created and printed special labels just for me, purchased some dark chocolate at a chocolate factory while he was traveling for business, took their labels off and put "my private label" on them and had them sent to me overnight. He was awesome that way. After we moved in together....he would make runs out to get chocolate type deserts from different places we had dined.

Unfortunately, sometimes ya get great with quirks that make ya crazy, and the relationship, while long term, did not last. He's a great guy though!

I was in Toronto in the mid90s for a week of professional instruction. Being mid-20s at the time, I could give a hang about instruction, I just wanted professionals. I drank a shitload, some 420s, err I mean 40s, and looked for everything I could bang.

There were lots of mishaps, one was leaving my tie at an incall. Drunk and stupid, I tried to retrieve it. I knew she was in there, a second story apartment, but she wouldnt answer. Somehow I got into the building next door and was trying to get from that balcony to hers. Bad idea came to fruition when I fell into a pile of construction supplies.

I got up and booked out of there. Lucky. I slept and was a mess the next day at class.

Next night I get an outcall to my hotel. Cute blonde named Haley. Sort of new, the sweet type that asks newbie questions that cut the edge. I told her about the night before and she had rubbing alcohol and spent time cleaning the scrapes and cuts on my back before we played. It made for a tender caring experience I've not forgotten.

Maybe not the most romantic thing a woman has done for me, but beyond a doubt the most caring and sweet thing a provider has done for me.

The most romantic, caring, sweet things a man has ever done for me has been in the hobby; which is actually kind of sad ...the lack of effort by men in the civvie world

i agree mostly with your statement, particularly, the hobby outshines real relationships, and the sadness of it

sometimes what it comes down to is what I call the language of love, and how people talk to each other. i think there is a book on the subject

ironically, in the hobby world, the better providers do this for their clients, and then clients reward this behavior with treating them like a princess, or vice' versa

civie relationships can actually learn a lot from provider/client relationships

here is an example of civie woman fuck it up ltr- one time i came home drunk from a Superbowl party, she is pissed because i drove (i get drunk like once a year). a few years later, for a retirement party, I had a lot to drink and realized I should not drive, so I called my SO to come get me, she is more pissed than ever - wtf i already know i over did it, and not doing that again anytime soon

or you get in the car for a trip, and once your trapped, the guy gets a list of everything that is wrong, and if he had plans to be romantic, those plans are dead, and his mind drifts to his last session with his atf, or that girl he knows that is just a friend

here is the difference perhaps - in civie relationships, judgments occur, one person is trying to change the other into a state of perfection, trying to fix them. (this may not happen in all civie relationships, but i think many are like this)

within the freedom of a provider client, it is non-judgmental relationship and if there is one trying to change the other, it is called role play, and is temporary.

this freedom, (lack of judgmental behavior) can aid romance.

it could also could come down to sub/dom type of thing. in civie relationships, sometimes both are trying to be the dom, when perhaps both should be the subbie, or mutually submissive relationship

(i feel the lack of effort in the civie world is mutual between men and woman)

Its awful what is out there these days!

Last night in a decent, not 5 star, but decent, family restaurant, I see a bunch of dudes wearing hats at the dinner table. Hate it.

I see 'men' showing ladies disrespect all the time. I want to slap the ladies, wtf are you doing with this bozo. I have more respect for a $20 BB whore than a girl who dates an impolite dude. She's the real whore on this planet, and the derelict who is going to repopulate it with dicks.

lose, lose, everybody says call me for a ride but when you do, they're pissed they have to do something.

[B]civvie, provider, client, all humans, most judge[B]

I agree
I would argue its the result of a sexually open society.

I understand your feelings. I, too, am amazed and disgusted by the way many civilian men treat their girlfriends/wives/SOs. I am far from perfect, and often not a gentleman, but I have witnessed displays in public where I have actually told the woman "You do not have to take this." Once I told the retard to back off and leave his wife alone. Hell, I would not treat a stray dog as bad as I have seen some women treated.

I agree with almost everything that has been said here, but I do think that comparing a hobbying relationship with a real LTR relationship is like comparing apples to oranges. Benjamin Franklin said (I think it were he...), "Familiarity breeds comtempt." For those of us who are in a relationship or married, we know these people intimately, and we see them at their worst. (They in turn see us at our worst.) In the hobby, people are almost always on their best (or close to it) behavior, kind of what it was like when you started dating your now SO. You see them for a few hours, and it's easier to be Mr. or Ms. Wonderful. As time goes on, we not only see more of the good, but we also see the bad. Something that ususally does not happen between a hobbyist and a provider.

I hobbied alot when I lived in L.A. and now that I am here, living with my SO, I just recently had my first session with a provider. I felt bad, but it has also opened doors and our own relationship has more spice in it now. Nothing happens without a price, but if it's more good than bad, I figure we're better off?

I disagree with men treating women badly is the result of a sexually open society. The trouble is that most parents don't take enough responsibility in imparting good values and manners to their children. My Dad never let me wear a hat at the table, I never was allowed to embarrass either of my parents in public, and how to treat a lady was instilled in me from a very young age...by both my parents. I see so many men who don't even open doors for their ladies (and that's not just limited to their SO's...it also unfortunately extends to their mothers and daughters.) Most of these guys think it makes them look weak to even pay attention to their ladies. Idiots...

For those of you who feel that no one IRL has done anything romantic with you, I would suggest looking in the mirror in order to find the reason why. Perhaps you are shutting out people IRL and only letting in those who are in the hobby. I don't say this to offend; I say this because I have been there. For awhile I turned my back on "real" people and preferred to only relate in the hobby. The hobby is great, but it shouldn't be the ONLY connection you have in terms of relationships. I have an SO now, and I really don't imagine I will hobby too often, just enough to remind me and inspire me to throw some spice into my real relationship.

And Zabrina...you are beautiful AND intelligent. There is no way men haven't at least attempted to do romantic things for you outside of the hobby. If you open yourself to it, it will happen in the real world. There aren't THAT few good men out there. Trust me

Sorry for the excessive post...I had alot on my mind, lol.

Good post OB.

In my ltr, the warning signs were there, the SO enjoyed all that jane austin stuff, and identified with katherine from "taming of a shrew". LoL, I was just dense then, and every now and then I bitch about. One the other hand, when my SO wishes for someone like mr darcy, or even petruchio, well she married the fucking gardner.

Dear OBringer,

Sweetheart, if all you need is a reminder, I have a proposition. I'll shoot you an email at least once a week, maybe with pics of the beautiful Zabrina (to inspire), in which a reminder for you to "throw some spice into your relationship" will also be present. This way, ya don't have to feel guilty and you can still have a presence of sorts with those in the hobby. Win Win, yes?

And not to disillusion you, but yes indeed, there are very few good gents in the "real world" that are available and open minded enough to accept who we are, or have been, as providers. Sad, but true.

xoxo

I don't know. But when I did not think much of the first session I went back for a second shot. Bingo. Have had a steady diet of this fine lady for the last four years.

MAX, this is an awesome idea. Can I get on the mailing list? Would you mind making my delivery daily (lots of fresh pics, okay)?

For the umpteenth time - MAX, you need get out more. The world is teeming with good gents (but I doubt you'll find them at the bon bon store), accepting gents.

I'm thinking this reminder business might keep you rolling in bon bons. If you push it.
