That's Louisiana Politics, she comes from a political family she just rides on the coat tails of her family. Her father and her uncle both were in politics and her brother Mitch is the current Mayor of New Orleans. There's lots of money and power that surrounds her. She's not that popular here as you might think.

No, you stupid hayseed, this has nothing to do with Senator Landrieu. Pay attention now, y'heah! I'm talking about Vance McAllister, who won the special election for Louisiana's Fifth Congressional District, 60-40 over the other Republican in the runoff, Neil Riser, this week.

Riser was backed by the LA GOP, Club for Growth (what a great bunch of guys!), Eric Cantor and John Boehner.

McAllister ran to the left and won easily. He disagreed with Bobby Jindal's choice not to expand Medicaid for the state, and came out in support of ACA's Medicaid expansion provisions.

60-fucking-40. BTW -- Romney carried that district by 23 points last year.

Welcome to reality, GOOOOOOBER! Next time, pay attention to what's happening in your own back woods!

Great response LLIdiot. You had you ass handed to you and all you can do is deflect.

You could have done a little thinking before you posted such a ludicrous statement. Hold on... you did do a little thinking. VERY little!

Your ass, too! (Don't wear it out... because you KNOW what happens when you do!)

Great thread.

Know anything about the 5th District in which he won? Well it's one of the poorest districts in the nation. So even if he doesn't support Obamacare giving the thumbs up for the ACA is a good strategy in getting votes from a lot of poor people.

ain't it funny, ACA was designed for people with a low income to be in a position to have good health insurance?

The ACA wasn't designed for people with low income. Otherwise there wouldn't be all this confusion with policy cancellations.

Who was it designed for GOOOB? And what the hell does that even mean? A national change in insurance regulations wouldn't result in across changes to policies? I guess the poor uninsured people never had to worry about that, eh?

It was designed to help government exert more control over individuals.

What I find amazing is how much you know about this race NOW that I brought it up, GOOOB! You had no fucking clue what I was talking about when I first posted it.

Last time I looked Mary Landrieu was a DINO US Senator from NOLA.

Yet you still went off on the comment.

Ignint bubba. Bad bubba!
