I actually agree with having a border delineated. But I also believe in enforcing immigration laws, and EXPORTING anyone who overstays a visa for any reason. I also don't agree with anchor babies being born here, then being able to keep whole families here. I think in general , walls work as a visual deterrent, but anybody who's intent on coming across, and has a shovel knows how to do it. It's probably a good idea that the Dems have woken up about this, and can join forces with the GOP. Some stuff can be worked on together.

True. It wasn't that border security was the issue, it's that a giant wall is just a dumb fucking idea that would never work to keep people out of the country anyway. It makes sense that trump's Neanderthals would be impressed by it, but in reality, there are dozens of ways to get into this country that a wall can't help with.

What is painfully obvious is that any deterrent is better than none. Spinning orange balls (Trump's idea too probably but just for namesake let's give that one to him), or water cannons or sirens or electric fences ...whatever.

But we got to do something about the people that cross here and then get caught, so that they don't come back, EVER. I believe in legal entry, and doing it correctly, but we should have buses and airplanes ready on the tarmac for anybody that comes across, and send them back to their place of origination. I understand sanctuary, but given the choice of going back to say a Venezuela, or Guatemala, or Mexico, I say we let those folks pick, and off they go.

Lastly, if you get caught committing any crimes in the US when you are not a citizen or don't have valid visa or paperwork, you go to jail for 10 years and then get deported. If it's for murder, you get to ride sparky.
