The providers are legal contractors that provide a service and is recognized by law as a business. That is why this site is allowed to exist. Technically a provider can be sued for discrimination:

The Federal Civil Rights Act guarantees all people the right to "full and equal enjoyment of the goods, SERVICES, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin."

Now whether or not its advisable to sue, is a consideration the claimant should understand could be ill-advised since the social repercussion may be undesirable.

The man that was referred to earlier in Vegas wanted to sue the escort because he was not satisfied with the service and consequently was advised by LVPD that it was a civil issue and to contact the Better Business Bureau. He did file suit in NY but I don't remember what was resolved, probably nothing I suspect.

If I could ask a question of you, as a provider, you at this point are a legal business correct? I'm going to assume that you are gonna say yes so check this scenario and give me your opinion ok?

Lets say that an individual contacts you and follows all legal parameters as far as the initial contact is concerned, and you sense that he is black, now remember you have not seen him and this just the initial call, and then you tell him you don't see black men so he gets upset and hangs up. Do you think that under the law in the way that I describe it above he could then file suit for racism? I would think so because what has transpired so far is not illegal and is recognized as a legitiment service and therefore would fall under the Federal Civil Rights Act. You've got the experience and I'm just postulating somewhat so your thoughts?

What hogwash! To even think the law would compel a lady to have sex with any and all just because she is an escort...beyond rediculous. Every lady in the world discriminates in one way or another. My advice in the future to the ladies that feel a need to start a thread to make it known who they choose not to see either for age or race or whatever.. is to make the statement and then ask the thread be closed. Then keeping it posted in their showcases....done.

I'd be a little hurt and offended if a lady's ad said 'no big boned, fuzzy, middle aged gingers', but would get over it. It's sad that anybody feels the need to so blanketly discriminate over something as meaningless as race, but there seems to be no permenant cure for ignorance, and in the end this is a "seller's market" and the ladies should be free to set any restrictions, limitations, and preferences on their service that they feel necessary to be comfortable. In solidarity though, this cracka wouldn't have anything to do with anyone that I knew to be racist because I generally prefer intelligent and sweet natured ladies.

(good luck!! ppl always talk about how us ladies have poor money management skills. we dont know the value of a dollar bc we can easily get it, and thats why there are "end of the month specials". i guess having a judgement on a lady, will be no different than all the other bill collectors she has)

Really? If the providers were able to track every guy who looked at their ad, should they be hurt and offended that each and every one did not call her? If say you look at an African American providers ad and don't set up an appointment after you realize that she is African American are you then a racist? What if they are Latino, Asian, European, to heavy, to skinny, to short, to tall, a blonde, a redhead (YUM), a brunette, breasts to big or to small, aren't you then discriminating against them? No it's called a PREFERENCE!

The difference is that you and I and I can make our choices privately. This lady and others do it publicly so as not to waste anyone's time and I applaud them for it. There are lady's that post that they don't see older guys and I just move on. There is no way I would want an intimate encounter with someone was repulsed by me or scared that something bad may happen. Kind of a mood killer IMHO.

Calling someone ignorant is pretty asinine considering you don't know that they are racist. The lady that posted this said she had a bad experience with an AA man and seems concerned that it would happen again. I don't know what happened and neither do you, but it was enough to make her establish this policy and that should be good enough for anyone.
