Cruz babbled and pandered. He promised to repeal "every syllable of Obamacare." We will see how long it takes the rest of America to make a liar out of him.
he makes Louie Gohmert look like a liberal.

No response to my refutation of your contention that Cruz is "making Hispanics proud'? Not a surprise. You know it's bullshit and you know you're a liar for posting it up. You make shit up based on whatever Limbaugh, Hannity and the rest of the right-wing crazies say, without regard for facts. Same shit, different day.

Here is everything anybody with a brain stem needs to know about Cruz.
>>>Cruz says shutting down the government should be on the table for Republicans in the upcoming fight over raising the debt ceiling.<<<

Shutting down the government? Gee, I wonder how the stock market and the world economy might respond to that?
He's a fucking fanatical ideological idiot willing to risk the financial security of the United States in order to make his Tea Party worshippers happy. Scary.

There you go. Lack of a brain stem.
COG, just for grins....can you contemplate any adverse consequences that might result from a government shutdown? You know...to like the people in the country who are retired and depend on social security to survive who would stop getting checks? Or would it just all be good?

They'd still get their checks. All non-essential services would be halted. Essential services would continue.
My question is, if there are so many non-essential government services, why is government doing them?

If the government shuts down, how do "they" still get their checks? In a scenario where Ted Cruz shuts the government down, who decides what are essential and non-essential services? You're an idiot who is willing to risk everything on nothing. What will happen to the stock market? What will happen to all government-backed financial obligations if the government defaults on all obligations?
Seriously? What good do you think will come from this scenario and at what price? I'm just astonished that someone who advocates the good of the republic would advocate this scenario.

It's happened before. They have plans for this. In fact, when Clinton shut down the government, he met Monica Lewinsky.
Gawd, Timmy. Don't you know anything? What do you think happens when the government shuts down? Do military bases close? No. Do other essential services close? No. What the hell do you think happens? It's not a big deal.

It's not really "shutting down the government" that they are talking about. It is not allowing the executive to pay for what has already been passed and spent. Kinda like charging on your Amex Black and then not paying the bill because your wife won't let you. Just plain stupid.
Plus, they don't even really know what they are doing because it lets the executive branch decide what to pay for and what not to. Could they decide to pay all Dem congressmen and no Repubs? I don't know, but I'd like to see that! Could they find a way to not pay corporate welfare? Might be worth a try. Anyway, it will wreak economic havoc and all the business leaders of any note will troop into D.C. And say "don't do this" and then the Repubs will cave...again. And that isn't me predicting this, it is Gingrich and a slew of other Repubs. Wait, watch and learn... The unruly children will be schooled or the economy will be wrecked. How can not paying for what has already been spent be good? Only a bent Tea Party brain could think so.

Cruz isn't . . .
1. A Tea Party Guy . . . it's just an opportunistic exercise for Ted. He has always looked for a audience well ahead of any actual thought or pinciples.
2. A Hispanic . .. He's Cubano. If you don't understand why that doesn't make him the "Perfect Latino Candidate", you just really don't have a good understanding of the Latino community.
Ted is there for the show -- it's his past history and he won't be changing those stripes anytime in his lifetime. His entire Senate experience will be like that little dog behind the neighbor's door . . .
Don't put labels on me . . . they won't apply and I can argue both sides with more facts than you have at your disposal.

Yeah, and a Canadian to boot.
He'll find himself without friends quickly in the Democratic Senate. I doubt Cornyn, whore that he is, will be much help to little Teddy. One and done. We'll have Joaquin Castro in 6 yrs.
