Trump would be very happy if we did not allow ANY immigrants into this country. But if we have to do so, Trump wants them highly educated, able to speak fluent English, skilled, and white.
Trump lowered the yearly quota of refugees allowed into this country from 100,000 to 15,000, the lowest level since the Refugee Program was instituted in 1980. He also banned ANY refugees from Somalia, Syria, and Yemen and severely restricted refugees from Cuba, Eurasia or the Baltics, Iraq, Honduras, Guatamala and El Salvador. Biden reversed most of those restrictions and raised the quota back to 125,000.
Thank you Joe Biden for showing some positive feelings for those around the world less fortunate than most of us in this country and simply looking to escape oppression for a better life.
