I do. I’ll even say it again. There is no Republican Party. They are done.

Trump and the MAGA crowd have entirely taken over the party. The old guard who have resisted this have been evicted from the ranks. Basically if you resist the changes you will lose funding, or be primaried, or be forced out of committee assignments and other political activities.
I think that there are still a large number of professional politicians involved who will happily change their ways if the MAGA influence can be moved into a different direction.
Unfortunately I’m not certain that will happen anytime soon even if Trump loses yet again. I do think however that Trump’s direct influence will be greatly diminished. Which hopefully means that Government will get a break and congress might run a little better.
Republican internecine fighting will resume however as soon as the election chaos subsides.

First off, yes IF Trump loses the Republican party will survive. We will see IF Trump loses in about a month.
Trump is a genius. Supposedly all the 'smart' people hate him and even in a hobby forum, he's living rent free in some heads. It just make me laugh the fear he imposes in others. Four years since he's been in office and you still blame stuff that is currently going on with him. How about just out and out saying harris and biden are fuck ups and that hussein osama obama, harris, and pruneface piglosi are really running the country They say bitch do this and harris goes running. The DOJ even has kangaroo courts to try and put him in jail. Judges who have daughters raising millions for the democrats while their fathers are a judge who impose almost impossible sanctions on Trump. DOJ and FBI raided his home, all for nothing except for the gay FBI agents could sniff Barron's underwear. The main stream media withholding information about Hunter's lap top...............the crap just goes on and on.
Several of you are not just implying Trump will lose, but out and out claiming he will lose with nothing more than the same gut feeling that I currently have saying Trump will win. Nobody knows nothing right now. You can look at the polls, but that's about it.
By the way, and hold on to your therapy puppies and crayons boys and girls, I would rather have DeSantis or Tim Scott running instead of Trump, but myself and millions others want a conservative in the white house and we feel that Trump is our best shot. We've had our four years of supporting our enemies giving billions to Iran and China, shemales, men in the ladies room, men beating women in track and field and swimming and we just want to get back to some sort of social values that have been missing for 4 years. And we want to shut down the borders and make people come in the legal way and not support illegal aliens instead of our fellow citizens who's lives have been turned upside down due to hurricanes and other natural or man made disasters.

I hate to break it to you but we’ve had most of the policies you’re ranting about for much longer than the last four years. Frankly your values are last century thinking.

Just to get the thread back on track, I was looking for what you think will be the future of the GOP if there is a Trump loss. Not a defense of it's never going to happen, but what do you actually think the future of the GOP will look like after Trump.

If (when) Trump loses, there’ll be more upheaval nationally, like we saw after 2020. There’ll be another call to violence and the GOP will have no choice but to reject Trumpism or reject themselves.
Vance will not be a viable successor, because he’s basically a fraud. So on whom does it fall, Haley? All of the Republicans in the senate are weak sycophants. You don’t believe John Cornyn will assume the leadership of the party, do you?
Either way, we’ll see the rise of a third or fourth political party. I would not be surprised to see an ultra progressive party emerge from the left, too. The artifacts of MAGA will still remain, but not as Republicans. They’ll be Muskovites, as that asshole is having too much fun fucking with the nation’s politics right now. Musk is the next Trump.
The GOP as we know it is gone again. Remember Lincoln? We haven’t seen that GOP in a good century.
Like I said before, multiple viable parties is good thing for America.

Diaper Don destroyed the republican party and he is definitely going to lose in November and the rest of them will be sucking swamp water begging for forgiveness.

I don't know about Musk being a viable candidate. He isn't a natural borne citizen nor is he likeable. He has the charisma of a vulture on a fence.
He does have money, but that's it.
A Vivek or someone who has a fairly normal/ average presentation style will likely secede the throne.
I can think of nobody in the ranks of the GOP besides Kevin McCarthy, who has that level of charm or charisma. -And he got handed his hat and shown the door.
Haley has been shown to simply fall in line and not be decisive.
I'd imagine a few Midwest ppl might have a chance. There are plenty of white supremacist mentality folks out there if they want to continue on the MAGA movement. But hopefully they realize that is exactly what 51% of America hate, since it is based in racial supremacy ideology- covered up in disguised as "patriotism"
I HAD TO LAUGH when I did a quick search on companies that use the word patriot, to sell shit to people on Fox TV! Everything from freeze-dried foods to backup generators - everything ready for the big boogaloo! It's almost like they can't wait for a civil war despite knowing how the first one came to an end.
Hopefully some lessons in the past don't have to be relearned

Musk could never run for president without changing the rules. Of course, when you can wipe your ass with $100 bills, that's not out of the realm of possibility. At least if you read X, it isn't.
Vivek won't be able to lead rank and file GOP. He could be a force within the new MAGA party, unless Don Jr. assumes command. (LOLLING!)
The new GOP Patriot Headquarters?

Wrong, and I stand 100% by my post. Also, please, I don't need anybody from Austin talking to me about values. Austin might as well be in California, same lack of values, same beyond left politics.
Harris fails on the View and 60 minutes. How in the world can a female liberal fail on the View is beyond me. Harris fails getting involved with Florida and Hurricane Milton. I stand beside DeSantis, they don't need her in the emergency action center for a photo op, people are there to save lives and don't have 5 minutes to help a politician they would never vote for. I think her little fairy princess days are behind her. https://www.realclearpolling.com/bet...2024/president It's time to get serious and she's falling behind in the public's mind and the pollsters are seeing her for the joke she is. This is also how important picking a quality VP is and Walz doesn't cut it. She should've taken Shapiro which would've delivered her PA and it's 19 electoral votes.
If Trump wins PA, GA, and NC and holds the states he's supposed to win (none are toss up states) it's all over. Plus he will pick up AZ as a bonus. MI, WI, NV have no bearing once Trump passes the 270 electoral college votes.
Again, the republican party will survive a Trump loss. We have several people beside Trump we can count on as a quality candidate. I stand by DeSantis or Tim Scott with Tulsi Gabbard as a great VP candidate.

Well, amigo, I'm originally from Houston, the same city you claim. The same city that voted for Biden 56-43% in 2020 and will likely produce the same kind of results for VP Harris.
I'm proud to claim both cities.
At least you're consistent in your debating strategy. Hold on tight to your values.
I stick by my earlier post. Musk will be the de facto leader of the remains of MAGA.

I’m not so sure about that. Even if Trump loses he may still have the ability to anoint a new candidate. Ol Schitzenpants has the uncanny ability to make the news cycle all about himself. He very well may be able to use that ability to put forth a candidate as long as that candidate reflects well on Trump.
I’m not saying that Elon Musk can’t be that person but I have real doubts that Elon would be able to stick to the shadows under Trump. His ego is too big and frankly well deserved to bend the knee to the orange clown.

Perhaps, but he's certainly kissing his ass now. Don't know if he's bent the knee, but he's definitely pursed the lips.
