You think democrats are “progressive”? The only things they’re proponents of progressing towards is a society free of white heterosexual males, and a de-industrialized, agrarian population lacking such awful things as sport utility vehicle. That’s not progressive, it’s regressive.

Change for the sake of change isn’t necessarily a good thing, you wouldn’t bench TJ Watt for a 115 pound woman because he’s already gotten 20 sacks this year. This is exactly what self proclaimed ‘progressives’ hope to achieve, at the point of a gun. What’s actually good for society doesn’t matter in their view, like nuclear families, as long as it tears down their wrongly perceived oppression.

Just look at the push in schools for STEM fields, this is as progressive of a cause as any. Problem is that the advocacy doesn’t work. Girls just simply aren’t as interested, and therefore not as good at it as men. It’s the same reason male nurses are rare. Men prefer things, women prefer interpersonal relationships and being caring nurturers. You’re not going to change a million years of evolution with add campaigns, nor should you.

I was explaining how the GOP went from a progressive party to being the party of conservatives.

for once i agree with you. my biggest gripe about the Republican party today is that they gave up their fiscal conservatism. but it goes back way farther than Reagan. the Republicans gave up in the 60's when the Democrats got their great welfare state bullshit passed.
