But this is good. We both get to share our opinions and the readers can decide who is telling a more accurate story, ME and the entire media and the Chairman, or you and your demented narrative.

And can I just comment that you don't don't respond very well when backed into a corner.
Correction. Trump negotiated with terrorists.

“From an operational and tactical standpoint, [the evacuation] was successful. Strategically, the war was lost. The enemy is in Kabul,” said Gen. Milley, the highest-ranking Pentagon official to publicly make such a critical assessment of the U.S. effort. At another point, he said of the withdrawal, “It was a logistical success but a strategic failure.”

To strategically win, if it is even possible, that meant occupying the region for many years to come. After 20 years I don't think it was ever strategically possible to win. You don't just put troops on the ground, they need constant supply, transportation, replacement, and many other things that go with deployment. Shelter, food, water, clothing.... Medical. At what cost per year for a war that could never really be won? Fuck that place, we out.

And not to mention the mental/physical health of our soldiers returning. We created another generation of wounded veterans both mentally and physically. Deaths don't only happen on the battlefield.

And who else was there to negotiate with other than the enemy you are fighting? IF Trump negotiated with terrorist, Biden accepted the deal with terrorist by doing exactly, well not quite exactly, what Trump had negotiated, leaving Afghanistan.

This is about and always has been about, how that exit was conducted and it is thought of as a failure by our military and all our allies.

Lessons From Biden’s Very Bad Week

The U.S. president’s refusal to acknowledge error has dismayed supporters and European allies.

U.S. President Joe Biden made a mistake in Afghanistan, withdrawing too precipitously and shunning the advice of his generals and the CIA, as well as the counsel of U.S. allies. But unlike Kennedy, Biden has so far largely avoided taking responsibility for the Afghan debacle. That in turn has raised questions among supporters and U.S. allies about whether he’ll learn anything from it—or whether his approach to Afghanistan might set the tone for the remainder of his presidency.

Biden's Handling Of Afghanistan Has Angered Some Allies

In together, out together. That was the slogan for the United States and its partners in Afghanistan. But the way the Biden administration left and the current situation in Kabul have angered many U.S. allies.

It was not a failure of our military. We didn't have a fighting force in the region for several years. We only had a relatively small security force. Technically we gave up the fight 5 years ago or more. It was an unwinnable war. There was no hey we did this so we won moment and there probably never would have been. The Afghan people we trained wouldn't fight so the Taliban took over quickly. You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink... Not our problem anymore, for now at least. Maybe we will have to go back in force again someday...

Exit was successful as the generals said. Lots of bitching and moaning about equipment left behind, yada yada, that happens after every war. They don't have the parts or equipment to maintain the stuff so it is basically junk pretty quickly. To retrieve it all, or even some, would put our soldiers at risk.

There are a few thousand Americans and Afghan's that assisted our military, that would disagree with that statement.

Would terrorists not bombed because trump exited? Strategically would anything be different? No Biden did it cause he isn't a self absorbed moron like Trump.

You are a fool to think that terrorists give a fuck who is president when they do their thing.

To "strategically" win the war it would have meant escalation back to a 30-40000 fighting force and most likely would have extended the war to 2025 and probably beyond that. Far from an exit. It would take a year to build up, 2-3 years or more of fighting and risk to our soldiers. And for what? What wins that war strategically?

Other than strategically, the exit was successful. We are out of the region for the most part. Sure we have some CIA mulling around and maybe some special ops going on, but as far as a war that we have to finance and manage. It is done.
