Nope. He has nothing to hide. Did you forget he released the transcipt of the telephone call? That's more then was required.
I know this will hurt your little snowflake feelings but it's game over.

The fact that he has blocked them from testifying demonstrates clearly that he's got something to hide.

If he has nothing to hide, then why is he blocking witnesses? He knows that he fucked up, and he was stupid enough to get caught. Now he's stonewalling.
If a Democrat had done what Trump did, the Republicans would have had him drawn and quartered. They're the snowflakes, getting all butt-hurt because someone had the nerve to call foul on their golden boy.
Republicans need to grow a pair and stop enabling their grubby little crime boss. If not, they will soon become extinct. A huge majority of the U.S. public wants the witnesses to testify, including a large majority of Republicans. If they continue to block witnesses, that will be their legacy for decades to come.
Republicans: leading the world in unabashed corruption and blatant dishonesty.

I agree.
We are setting a dangerous precedent that if the Dems get a dominant majority say 2024, Republicans will be weeping for years. I don't expect much to change for 2020.

Amazing. I don't know what world you live in but it's innocent until proven guilty over here. That means the House Managers had to proove he is guilty and they can't convince enough people to do that. President Trump is not stupid. He is in the White House and you....well,you are posting on a hooker board.

Your statement is slightly incorrect -- the House Managers can't convince enough REPUBLICAN SENATORS that Trump is guilty. And by the way it is not the role of the House Managers to prove guilt. Their job, as is the job of a Grand Jury, is to assess the information and determine if there is the possibility of guilt.
Since Trump refused to allow key witnesses to appear at the House impeachment hearings, and since it looks like at this moment that there will be no trial and those same witnesses will not be heard, Republicans will call the House proceedings a sham and Democrats will call the Senate proceedings a sham.

Innocent until proven guilty or Guilty until proven innocent, doesn't matter when the time comes that records will be available in the future. What has been actively hidden will be shown and people will come to their own judgement. Some parties involved won't care. They show no visible signs of having a conscience.

A number of Republicans are calling it a sham trial, including Trump's former chief of staff, John Kelly:
https://www.nj.com/politics/2020/01/...half-done.html
“In my view, they kind of leave themselves open to a lot of criticism,” Kelly said in an interview with NJ Advance Media in advance of his Feb. 12 appearance at Drew University’s Drew Forum speaker series at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown.
“It seems it was half a trial,” Kelly said.
Kelly said he believed former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s assertion that Trump withheld congressionally approved aid to Ukraine to pressure that government into investigating former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading candidate for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
Bolton, who made the claims in an unpublished book reported by the New York Times, was “a copious note taker” and was “an honest guy and an honorable guy,” Kelly said.
Funny how so many of Trump's inner circle who have seen him in action up close and personally have turned on him.
https://www.brookings.edu/research/t...dministration/
His A-team has an 80% turnover rate, and a number of them like Kelly and Bolton have made statements that Trump attributes to being "disgruntled".
Why are so many of his ex-staffers disgruntled? The consensus seems to be that he is an egocentric micromanager who demands absolute loyalty and offers none in return.
It's just a matter of time before the independents who gave him a chance in 2016 realize how petty and vindictive he is and give him the boot in 2020. Trump's base wasn't large enough to put him in office, and it was independents and swing voters who put him there.
His obstruction in the impeachment inquiry will not go unnoticed by the large majority of the U.S. public that wanted to hear from the witnesses, too. That will also come back to haunt Republican senators in blue and purple states who are up for reelection.

November will bring a sea of red or a blue wave the size of a tsunami.
Based on the tactics of what the DNC is pulling on Bernie, I expect red.

Both sides have agendas and twist everything to their favor. The democrats should not have made decision to file with Senate until they had everything they needed. Republicans should have made deal for censoring president instead of impeachment, since agreement probably could have been made the phone call was not perfect. Democrats also screwed up by starting this off saying they had open and shut case with the testimonies they had. Republicans are using senate rules the same way Democrats used their rules in House. Its all political and costing millions of dollars and most are tired of it all. There is corruption on many different levels in either influence or dollars on both sides and they talk about corruption in Ukraine. I don't care much for Trumps' statements at times but his policies for economy is working, and all i am hearing on the other side is tax, tax , tax. If they could ever get along and work together it would be great. Trump was Democrat at one time and still has views that Republicans don't like, but could create some room to negotiate. I consider myself and Independent and try to be impartial.
I would agree on censoring him, but not impeachment

Dev,I lost alot of respect for Kelly when the lady from Carolina wanted her to help in controlling trump. He should have just left when he saw what it was like.
Regardless, I never thought of trump being the big problem. The one that i'm leery of his Mitch. He has taken the long path into rigging the system. He just lucked out on a president who he could sway with shiny trinkets.
We'll see if the people of this country learned anything with the next election. Alot of self-alerting with the Impeachment about the motives/positions of the current crop in Congress.

Wow, what a stunning counterargument. Despite all of the overwhelming evidence that the Republican party under Trump has gotten more corrupt, dishonest, and incompetent, you have shown us the error of our ways by pointing out the obvious fact that there exist people who post on hooker boards.
Guess we all better hang up our gloves. Well-reasoned arguments like ours are no match for your astute observations.
I suppose next you'll be telling us that it was okay to impeach Clinton over a blow-job but not okay to impeach Trump for seeking foreign influence to rig his re-election because Monica Lewinski had weight issues.
