To start with I don't blame you for not answering personal questions or questions that could get you in trouble with an unscreened client. Your safety has to be your number one objective above and beyond anything else.
I also bet you get lots of questions that possibly you have answered in one or all of your ads and sites. I can see that answering these questions over and over could get tiresome but it is a business. There are flakes in every type of business and being able to do your best while wading through the non customers (ones that you will never see or get any business with) is what business is all about.
I look at it this way, if you are not eager to answer questions I might have (yes, even the ones that you have listed on your sites if I am using them to get a feel for your attitude) then you most likely won't be that eager to give me the quality time I desire if I come to see you. With all the great providers we have here in the DFW area sometimes it can be difficult to decide which new one to see. On several occasions the provider I picked to see was the one that was the quickest to respond or the nicest on the phone or in messages.

Attitude is everything and the comment in your post that I made bold tells me just what yours is like. I will put up with attitude or bull shit from my SO and even from some of my non hobby fuck buddies but if I am paying to have a good time then attitude or bullshit is the last thing I want to encounter.
Remember we are the customer and we do have the right to check you out to see if you are a match for us before doing business with you.

I love this post. This last week I had to decline a booking for the very same reasons plus I said I was booked and he kept on like I was going to rearrange others to fit him. RMT's he's after you.
You guys that are just great guys have no idea how much we love you. You all make it so these others are bearable. Thank you. Really.

How many businesses are out there with loads of people who get there kicks asking questions, talking to the workers, and never buying? I don't doubt there are some that exist besides escorting, but id bet there are very few to none with as many.
|
I dunno, but I would certainly ask myself that question when deciding how to reply to a question from a customer. I never said anything about how any particular person or business ought to answer that question.

I don't know. I never tried doing that. However, if that's what I wanted, I'd certainly want to ask how likely it was that I'd get what I wanted and when it would be ready so I could decide whether or not to order.

That comment about the bra size is exactly what I am talking about...and notice how immediately the lady got flamed.
Seriously, why are you contacting a lady if you haven't even taken the time to look at a few pics, and read a bare minimum of what are her measurements, race, location, and menu? To me that is just a waste of time...honestly. It says to a lady, "this man has not even taken the time to see if I am his type, he is about to waste my time and my phone minutes simply deciding if I am even his type, etc."
I know this is a business, but you guys have got to factor in that it is very personal, and that we are human beings and we have feelings and certain things offend us. In this instance, a guy not even bothering to take the time to look at a few pics and read your measurements is kind of a slap in the face. To explain this, the reason we put up sites and showcases and list our measurements and post pics is...drum roll please...to avoid those questions altogether. We feel those questions should be answered long before you contact us. It would be like calling up a McDonalds and asking them if they have french fries...I assure you that you would get either a puzzled or an irritated person on the other end of the line.
On the other side of the coin, it is good to know that some hobbyists are oblivious to this, and that we are chasing them away by seeming to have an attitude. Knowing this I will try to be more patient with people asking me these things and try to appear less "on guard" when they don't take hints.

The same is true of hobbyists. I'm not suggesting that you cater to anything you think is unreasonable. On the contrary, you should decline to see clients if you don't like something about them. On the other hand, if you're just annoyed at having to answer a question, is that in and of itself enough to turn away business? If so, ok. On the other hand, a lot of ``tire kickers'' may indicate something other than ``tire kickers.'' Someone who would have seen you, but didn't because you didn't answer a question, isn't a ``tire kicker.'' You may not want his business, because of it, but if you otherwise would have seen him, it's lost business over answering a question.

i do not mind to be fortright and come out and say that I was the one who text message Marla, and i will say that I had asked, not demanded, if she can meet via DFW airport. While I do understand that providers are trying to maintain a balance of safety and dependability, leading to success in hobby and peace of mind, remember that questions were asked politely and professionally, not coarse or impolite. Also, remember that it is a two way street, as safety and dependability of the hobbyiest as well for time, money, and paramount..safety. Life is a small world and its better to ask questions rather than schedule an appt and NS at last minute because the hobbyiest is very familiar recognizable in public workplace. Furthermore, reviews are extremely important as they lend views/perspectives that can help a hobbyiest decide to set up appt. If a provider is UTR or low volume, then it is completely understood that fewer number of reviews are available. I want to finish this response that I am sorry for any ill feelings or resentment and I hope we all, as providers and hobbyiest, can may benefit from this discussion.

Petershah you do have some of the best manners, I commend you on that! I think this thread is a good thread because it shows how little things can totally throw both the providers and the hobbyists off track!
Plus I love seeing it from both perspectives, and seeing how frustrated the guys get with all of our "hoops," screening, etc can help us to understand where y'all are coming from...while at the same time the hobbyists can see the providers perspective on safety issues, time wasters, etc.

Actually, I don't think anyone has ever thought of me as having a bad attitude. I have an extremely good attitude and LOVE making my customers happy It helps to really love this job and treat it like a serious business And I don't even understand how "bad attitude" could be extracted from that sentence. I think it's silly to call a lady just to ask her bra size and that means I have a bad attitude? I'm really not following your logic here.....

Before contacting a provider I always do as much research as I can, ie read showcase, look at pics, check reviews etc. I know the type of girl I like to see and I want to be sure as I can that when I make an appointment I am seeing someone of interest and not just looking for anyone who is willing to see me.
In the same manner I would expect the girl to do her own research on me as well to make sure I am not some freak who will either not show or be someone she wished she had not booked.
I try to respect the girl's wishes and not ask questions that she might seem inappropriate or rude. Being a gentleman at all times has allowed me to see some very nice girls for many years.

I saw you got a reply from the man in question, but had some thoughts on some of your issues with his questions...

Note that you state a location. Someone who does not know Dallas very well, may not know if that is close to the airport or not.
Quote:
I ask SEVERAL times for him to please send me his info via P411 so I can screen him and to verify it is really him I am communicating with...which he does not do. Since he has not sent me his P411 I am on guard and I am treating him totally different than I would have treated someone who has contact me through P411 with OK's that I can look at, etc. I suspect this is part of why he didn't book (double edged sword, right?).
|
I have done this before. I may be in a place where I don't have good access to make the request through P411, but can give you my P411 info. I once had a lady say that she wanted the info via email from P411 so she was sure it was me. I told her items that were in my profile, so she could verify that it was my profile. Some times a bit of communication of the worries of both parties can help. Note that you specifically state you prefer text over voice... most texts are a bit terse, and people tend to read them as being more harsh than the writers intent is. You can't convey attitude in a text or email as easily as a voice conversation. I would think a voice conversation could easily help weed out many undesirables...
Quote:
He ask me some semi-personal info which I am uncomfortable answering because of the whole not sending me a note on P411 so I can see who it is I am really talking too. Asks me if my incall is private (this is something I take for granted that everyone knows...am I wrong, I really want to know).
|
Yup! You are wrong on that one. I have been to a ladies incall, and had another lady answer the door, had a group of four ladies at one location, and even once had an incall with another guy there waiting.
Quote:
Also a side note he said the fact that I have few recent reviews was a factor. Gosh I can't force everyone I see to write a review...and if us girls could do that the board would crash! It would be overloaded!!! Seriously though, I prolly get one review for every 50 to 100 people I see. My guys just don't review, heck most of them aren't even registered board members! Lurkers
|
You can't make guys write reviews, but you can help. If you know a guy is a member of a board you want a review, ask if he'd be willing to review you. Tell him that you'd reward the time he takes to write a review, with an extra 15 minutes. Many guys will be happy to write the review if they know you would find it helpful.
Probably more than you wanted. LOL
Quote:
Oh, and I almost forgot! Do the guys read our info that we put up? Or do you just find it easier to contact us and ask a buch of questions? Just honest curiosity on that one.
|
I read what the lady puts up on her website. Well, on a couple occasions, the lady was really hot, and her website was a train wreck, so I skimmed it. So, 99.9% of the time, If I'm calling, I've read everything on your website.

I'll throw the question in reverse....do you ladies actually read what a prospective hobbyiest writes in his forum post? Do you actually check out his profile page? In all my years only one (yes one) had taken the time to read what I epressed on here and in the web in general. Kinda made me smile when she was able to tell me about one part of my life that no one knew and she knew what I liked when I showed up because she had read what I wrote.
I do believe alot of men are lazy when it comes to checking out a lady and the business we are talking about is different than the business of calling any other company. This one is illegal. Try calling a drug dealer and asking a ton of questions, LOL.
Nice OP and love to see that I am not alone in checking out a lady throughly before I consider seeing her.

Wow, 69er, I would never in a MILLION years have two guys at an incall at one time! What has become of this hobby of ours!!! What lady does that?!?! If I was a hobbyist that would go straight into the alerts section because to me that is a TOTAL breach of discretion. But I totally understand now, with so many of us seeming to be making the move to using hotels, that this is a valid question. FYI that is a question I always give a straight forward answer to and have no problem with it.
To address another point. If you can't PM me from P411 then please TELL ME THAT and don't just keep ignoring my request. We all know how to play the ignore game...where we purposely don't answer questions that someone asks us in a text or e-mail...and in this instance when my questions about P411 went unanswered I took this as a sign that the person on the other end was ignoring my request. This may not be true, but just like you guys have no idea what is going on when we ignore questions, requests, or entire e-mails...we have no idea what is going on with the guys when they dodge questions. One thing for sure is the hobbyists have no idea how many guys will contact you and say, "I am so and so from the board," (when in fact they are not) or, "I have a P411," (when in fact they do not) just to find a lady who is not the brightest crayon in the box, and who doesn't in some way confirm their identity, and will just go ahead and see the guy last minute..with ZERO screening. If you don't think this happens ten times a day then you don't understand why I stopped accepting voice calls...lol A girl can just take so much nonsense and people trying to get one over on her.
As far as asking guys to write reviews. The few recent ones I have up I did actually request a few of those..and thank you guys so much for taking the time to do that! I have actually had a client from my brief time that I was with PC when I first got back NOT write a review after he was given the $50 discount (which half of that comes from the providers cut)...so I am certainly not going to go holding my breath that I can get someone that doesn't like writing reviews, that doesn't usually write reviews, to write one. I do see a lot of lurkers and I am totally cool with that! I don't really want a ton of reviews, sometimes they creep me out *lol*. But I totally understand the hobbyist point of view on ladies not having recent reviews, I assume it is a huge determining factor for the guys.
One thing for sure is that you are totally correct about conversations in written form being taken as more harsh than they are meant to be. I look back over this post before I submit it and it just looks so negative and defensive! Which is not how I mean it at all, just wanted to address a few of the points you brought up.
Again thank you for the feedback!
Oh and a quick edit to say LMAO at Sierra Tango, what he said about calling a drug dealer and asking a bunch of questions...BINGO, you hit the nail right on the head!!! Very good allegory!
