If not for The Five and Bob Beckel I wouldn't have known about it either. Strange that a liberal on TV sounded the charge but the lefties here didn't have the guts or didn't hear about it. Think about that, you didn't hear about it. You didn't want to read what I wrote or didn't want to believe despite the video link. It was such a thing that CBS had to apologize and your news sources didn't talk about it. What does this say about your source of news? Since so many didn't even make a peep I have to conclude that you didn't get your marching orders and didn't know what to say. Maybe you just realized how bad this looked and wanted it to go away.

Anyway, most of you did not cover yourselves in glory with this one. Covered in something but not glory.

JD it is not that big a deal to most folks. We think folks are idiots for watching the show but you did say CBS apologized, so wtf is the big deal? Now go wipe that caca off you lips!

I have a couple of problems; the first is that they had no idea that is would be offensive to some Americans. I remember about 15 years ago they had the Fourth of July concert in DC brought to the nation by PBS. The program was music from all of America's wars. Hardly anything from World War I, a lot from World War II, Korea was completely forgotten and then came Vietnam. I saw the faces of the many veterans on the mall when they heard 1, 2, 3, 4...what are we fighting for... or ...let the sun shine in., followed by nothing but protest music against the war and the veterans. They looked shocked as I was and angry. I contacted PBS and was told the next day that it was not meant to be offensive which means they didn't think it would be offensive. Stupidity and massive fail. The second thing is that CBS made money off that nights episode. Some celebrities have been caught performing concerts for dictators and strongmen. Once it becomes public they always say they are giving all the money to charity. Okay, CBS can do it too. They can take every penny they made that night (and no deductions) and donate it to a veterans fund. Maybe a TV station will think twice before being so stupid.

You do know Korea was not a war, but a police action don't you. At least that is what it was officially. Also just because nobody posted any response at first, doesn't mean they agree or disagree with you. Don't assume you or anyone else speak for all.

JD, when you buy CBS, you can do what you want with the profits.

To bad PBS didn't play Johnny Horton's , "Battle of New Orleans" I liked that song as a kid.

I have a book here at home called "and we called it war" written by a veteran of Korea. You tell him that there was no war. If you want to be really technical then Vietnam was not a war.

Was in a Brit pub some years ago on "Country & Western Night". The Brits sang along with Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Charley Pride, etc., but they wuz mighty quiet when Horton's "Battle of New Orleans" played.
