I live in/by Addison and depending on what you want in a bar.
Logan's for younger crowd.
Cantina Laredo for great margaritas
Arthur's for Zombies
Twin Peak's for peeks
Hooter's for Hooters
Gecko for beer
El Fenix for chips and margaritas.
Humperdink's for a all-time favorite.

Back Nine and Duke's Road House for patio scene
Memphis for live rock/Shuck N Jive next door for Cajun food
SoHo for live Jazz and a "calmer" ambiance
Blue Mesa had a hopping weekday Happy Hour crowd but haven't been recently
Nate's has a great blues jam on Sunday nights
Londoner a younger crowd with English Pub atmo ... good fish n chips and they know how to pull a Guinness properly

Skirtchaser: As mentioned, Cindis for NY Jewish Deli style food (not as good at NY Jewish Deli, but closest you are going to find in Dallas....there a couple of them around town.)

Lucadejure: Dukes is long closed down. Also if you want good cajun and a bar to drink at, go to Nates on Midway and Beltline.

Couple of years ago Logan's had some sexy bartenders that were rumored to have fun after hours with regulars. Haven't been for a while don't know the scene now.
