Same can be said for you Rudyard.
I never said he was here....all I asked was where he'd been the last eight years.

Same place I was for more than a handful of decades before that--firmly entrenched in the Libetarian Party.
Laugh all you want, but in my mind how can you be anything other than that if you hobby?
If more of us would step out of the closet and declare the need for fiscal responsibility, small government, and social laissez- faire, and personal freedoms, no one would be talking about either party, nor those freak tea bagger types.
I am not sure what hurt my feelings more WTF, making me out to be a lukewarm centrist Republican, or the rude welcoming.

Were you for the 2003 invasion of Iraq or not?
If so, I stand corrected. if not I stand by wtf I posted.
Everytime in the last fifty years a Dem has been elected you get this Tea Party like movement. Why would I not question anyone who only wants to cueb one side of the fence's spending.
You see where Gates is having hell trying to get the military/Tea Party backers to pony up for some of their own healthcare cost? Total BS....the same folks that were for the WI Gov increasing teachers share in their healthcare ain't got the sense to see the hyporicy. If you can then we are on the same page, if not you are just another GOP political hack in sheep clothing.

Gaddafi's son dies in hospital of burn wounds
One of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's sons died in a Tripoli hospital of suffering severe burn wounds, a German website reported on Monday. Khamis, aged 32 and Gaddafi's sixth son, was allegedly injured on Saturday when a Libyan Air Force pilot deliberately ploughed his jet into a compound in Tripoli where Gaddafi and some of his family were staying, the Deutsch-Tuerkische Nachrichten said.

March 22-'11: We just lost an F-15 near Bengazi. Plane crashed, they say it wasn't shot down. Two man crew ejected and were recovered by The MARINES. So much for no boots on the ground.
Military jargon:
Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot, Interrogative, Emphatic.

They were probably there during the targeting phase as well. That's become SOP in recent years.

Wha? We are being lied to by the President via the press? Or did nobody say/ask if there were "boots on the ground?"

Here is a notion. How about we charge the European and Arab unions a fee for our peacekeeping services to back their noble ideas?
We are exporting our military, so why not treat it like a commodity and pay some of our deficit off the fees we collect.
|
No, we won’t get paid. Period. And that same cool dude waited for the UN to make the decision and we followed the French into battle to establish a no fly zone for a country that is at civil war. It’s not our problem. And why for the love of God and money is there no Arab presence in the coalition?

Camp Lejeune Marines To Libya
By WCTI Staff
POSTED: 6:22 pm EDT March 20, 2011
UPDATED: 5:03 pm EDT March 23, 2011
Local Marines to Libya
ONSLOW COUNTY -- We've seen Camp Lejuene Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan and now they are joining the fight against Libya.
About 2,200 Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will take part in support operations based aboard USS Kearsarge at sea. Those support operations have thus far included air strikes and one rescue operation. The overall mission is to help end the violence directed at the Libyan people.
UPDATE: Conditions set forth by the U.N. Security Council towards resolving the unrest in Libya included the removal of Libyan Leader Muammar al-Qadhafi’s forces from Ajdubiyah. These latest strikes by the MEU aimed at preserving the sanctity of the city and the safety of the civilians within it. In an effort to safeguard the Libyan populace and infrastructure in and around the city of Ajdabiyah from further attacks by regime forces, 26th MEU, as part of Joint Task Force Odyssey Dawn, launched a second round of strikes by AV-8B Harrier jump jets.

This military maneuver has EPIC FAIL written all over it. Khadaffi better be dead or ousted in two weeks or it ain't going to happen without significant military escalation.

What do you call what we're doing now? There was another thread where everyone basically agreed, we had no dog in the fight and didn't belong there.
