It is certainly possible to make knee-jerk decisions on both ends of the political spectrum, without really considering all the facts. It's something we all have to guard against if we value intellectual integrity. It is also possible, to be a knee-jerk independant, who automatically takes the middle position on every issue, believing that the truth can always be found in compromise.
