First of all Thats "The Game" who if he finds out about this will be pissed. He is very vocal on twitter about bullshit that happens with him...also Fox news is never a credible source.

Ike -- I agree with you wholeheartedly.
If violence does break out either way that is a wrong as the killing itself. IMO

GZ did not break the law by carrying a gun. The NWA can relieve him of his position, but that is not a criminal act.

GZ attempted to keep TM in sight. Once again.... not against the law. The 911 operator is not a law enforcement officer giving lawful orders. Remember the Colorado 911 operator telling a victim to return to the scene of the crime, and then getting murdered for following that directive?

Monday morning quarter backing is always perfect. I'm sure GZ would like to go back and change how this came out, but once the physical assault started, his choices became very limited.

Good thing GZ was armed, or this may have become a case of GZ being beaten to death by a young black man (kid my ass), and it would never have made the news.

I think he will get a manslaughter conviction........with time served and perhaps probation, if he does anytime it will be less than 4 yrs.
If he gets off and is found not guilty.....all hell is going to break lose.

If "all hell breaks lose" I pray that the rioters get put down like the animals they are. It's time for a cleaning of the gene pool. Black, white, brown, or yellow..... it don't matter.

How complicated the use of a gun can become for a civilian when using it for anything other than defense of one's home is illustrated by this case. Did George show the gun....reach for the gun....and what would any of us do if a stranger approaches and displays a weapon...Fight or Flight?...only two people know exactly what happened that evening and one of them is dead. What if TM had been armed and managed to shoot first..........would the police have released him that night? ( (From an old white guy Texas CHL Holder and a Veteran( 67-71))

I agree with TexasJohn. It is not illegal to follow or even confront someone. The moment of aggression (a punch, a threat, etc.) is considered a criminal act. We don't know who that was, but according to the only witness that can testify, it was TM throwing a punch and knocking GZ to the ground then jumping on top and pounding his head into the concrete. And the physical evidence of the bloody nose and gash on the back of the head support that scenario.
Could it be a case where GZ tried throwing a punch and missing and then getting beat up? Yes it could be. But even if the prosecution attempts to make that kind of speculation, there is more than enough doubt for a finding of "not guilty"
Only GZ knows what really happened that night. But from what we know about him, he does not seem to be the racist type. He organized a rally to pressure Sanford Police into prosecuting a cop for excessive use of force on a black citizen a few years before. He is not, nor does he consider himself white (His father is white, his mother is Hispanic, and he identifies himself as Hispanic on his Democrat voter registration card) I know this does not automatically dismiss him of racism, but he does not fit the typical racist stereotype.

He's guilty as fuck, but not enough to convict him of anything. I see this as the the reverse OJ Simpson trial. White people are dieing for this man to get off but they know he was in the very least partly in the wrong. I wanted OJ to get off with everyone else (black) and we knew he killed that lady. It took a while but they finally took OJ down. I won't be surprised to hear one day GZ goes down one way or another.

Ike and TJ1965, I "liked" both of your posts, because they are both correct. Unfortunately Ike, TJ1965 is right in how it will go down. The fact that Zimmerman brought it all on himself doesn't mean anything. The fact that people are stupid, and will believe anything they are told as T1965 is intimating. And the fact that the law is bad, I think will get Zimmerman off. I don't agree with it, but that's what I think. Basically, the Stand Your Ground law rewards and / or protects people for their own stupid actions.

And people wonder why racism is still a rabid dog running through our society. Why on earth would you want someone to get off when you know he brutally murdered a bystander and his wife after beating her for years.

Can't we make it Obama's fault instead? Bush is gone, and Obama doesn't speak Spanish.

Not enough evidence to convict OJ is why I wanted him to get off. You have to remember the times that were. That all went down not long after the riots, most of us felt white people can do anything and get off. Even with that tape no conviction. So with no tape and what they had, if all is fair then OJ should walk. Had nothing to do with if he did it or not. I knew in my gut he did it all along. I'm not saying I was right for felling that way, just being honest about it. This case is much the same to me. Not enough evidence but we all know he fucked up. Even though they know this they still want him not to be convicted.
