America is not Denmark. Trying to make the US into a European country is futile. Its like trying to make bread from a head of lettuce. It just doesn't work. Our systems and the way we each govern are fundamentally different. You can't put a pc motherboard inside of a Mac or vice versa (from what I understand). They were built differently and grew into what they are now differently. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and satisfy different needs.

To those that want to try and turn America into Europe because they are more in love with the fantasy of Central European life over the reality American life, I would suggest applying for a visa and moving there. I mean, why not just get the real thing you're after instead of a cheap, poorly made copy? Because if you're expecting American to turn in Denmark based on the ideals of the Democratic Party or one man's presidential sales pitch then I've got a real nice bridge to sell you.

Its good to have an Ameican system and a European system. Difference is good. Comparisons are good. Trying to make them the same is not.

Work within the system that developed to make it better. Unfortunately, we are at a very definitive place in history where most people don't have even the slightest idea of how industry or government actually work - and they are angry. On both sides of the fence.

I understand wanting a utopia and "free everything" sounds really awesome. Who doesn't want that? But it's just not gonna happen. If you want to live in under a European system them move to Europe.

Makes perfect sense other than one fact. For 90+% of the people, the northern European model works better.

"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"

Your evidence of that has been debunked many times over.

That's a fact? "90+%"?

I love visiting Europe. And yes they have some great social programs. But Europe does bureaucracy way better than the US. America sucks at bureaucracy. Their systems just won't work the same way over here. Our citizens are not group minded the way Europeans are. We are very much individual minded and those programs would get largely misused for personal gain within our system.

Again, American is not Europe.

True because everyone has the what have you done for me lately attitude along with what's in it for me?

Kind of sad really THN I know it would not be a perfect utopia as soon as Sanders gets in office but a lot of his ideas really could help this country. The free collage isn't my thing because you will always need people in the service industry.

This man saw the collapse of our economy and no one believed him. I watched a lot of cspan footage of him warning of it and him being blown off. He is not a true Democrat he is an independent.

Besides no Republican candidate catches my eye Hilary is a hell to the no in my book. She wants to hold gun makers responsible for shootings. That is like holding a spoon responsible for making me fat.

If people think Trump gonna build a wall remember how long 35 been under construction. Plus you really think Mexico is gonna toss one peso to pay for it?

By the way, according to BERNIES tax plan, he wants to take 120% of our food and gas money. It's never going to happen. Check the tax proposals for each candidate. It's frightening.

Ok first I have to crack up at this. This guy is HILARIOUS. They LOVE the 180% tax on cars. They LOVE giving 85% or more to the government. They LOVE not being able to afford land. They LOVE being raped daily by the government. They love that free healthcare with a 2 year wait. What's not to love about a country that has a population of slaves. But don't worry, it's happening here fast.
