Do you see me giving medical advice? If you ever do (and I might), I urge you not to take my word as any kind of authority. Get the information from an actual medical source. You know, the ones who all say you should get a COVID vaccine if able.

Thanks for making your first post after a year on ECCIE in my thread, though. Glad it prompted you to play along.

Hey Buddy....you seem to do similar trips to me so I have a couple of suggestions.

1. The restaurant at Caesars is AMAZING! I highly recommended it. They actually say they invented the Caesar salad there but who really knows?

2. Next time you have daytime to kill, go further down the coast to Puerto Nuevo. It’s a longer Uber ride but well worth it. There you will find lobster and they come bigger than your head!.....the big one! For $50 you will not be able to walk out of the restaurant. Villa Ortega’s is the big one there and very good but they are all much the same. Can be tricky getting an Uber back so leave a fair amount of time to get back to TJ.

3. Also if you like a great cigar, 3 doors down from Caesars is La Cassa del Habanos. 100% genuine Cuban cigars. It’s a habanos authorized dealer and Moises who runs it speaks perfect English. They also do an amazing cappuccino coffe to enjoy if you decide to burn one there.

Happy trips Brother!

Been there many times. I often stay at Hotel Caesar, as it is cheaper than Ticuan and a bit closer to the action but still decent. The rooms are pretty small though.

Yes, the Caesar salad was created there, and everyone should try it at least once if they visit TJ often.

Puerto nuevo is fun but a bit too touristy for me. if you want really fresh seafood at better prices, check out Popotla. It's a little fishing village, just past Rosarito, a bit closer to Tijuana. You won't run into tour buses full of Americans or barkers shouting at you to try their restaurant. Puerto Nuevo-style lobster is great, but you don't have to go to Puerto Nuevo for it.

Amazing. I'm literally smoking a Romeo y Julieta from there right now. Yeah, it's a great shop and they love to give advice on what to try. Personally I can't tell the difference between a Cuban and just as good a cigar from Honduras or anywhere else. But on my last trip I bought a bunch of Cubans for gifts and haven't passed them out yet so I broke open a box tonight.

Thanks for the tips. My next trip is May 1, so just a few more weeks. Can't wait to get back.

Yea Cascadas is good for what it is, a brothel hotel. I will be trying the sister hotel across the street Rizo de Oro on my next trip to see how it compares.

Did you use any of the VIP services and massage parlor?

I just took advantage of the membership to get 70% off the master jacuzzi room. Yes it’s a brother hotel but I was surprised at how clean it was and how big the room was with a nice rain shower. Compared to a holiday inn/best western I’ll stay at cascadas any night. I didn’t know they had a massage parlor.

Upon looking at it again. It isnt a massage parlor. Its a "spa". It includes facials, waxing, and relaxing spa services from their qualified therapists. So far in my research, ive never found anybody who has used it. Put Ill probably stay there.

Yes, for personal consumption. Not large quantities for resale.

Cascadas is great for what it is: a hotel room in a brothel. The rooms are the nicest in the zona, and if you plan on taking up Hong Kong or Bar Tropical girls, it will save you a lot of money -- enough to pay for the room in some cases. If you get the VIP card there is a big discount on the rooms, and on Mon & Tues they are 70% off, so they pay for themselves with one chica (not counting the cost of the VIP card itself).

Some downsides:
1) The rooms can be noisy -- you are in a 24/7 whorehouse, so expect it and be prepared with earplugs.
2) The rooms are expensive without the discount, especially one of the upgraded rooms like a jacuzzi or master suite.
3) Pretty much only Hong Kong or Bar Tropical girls will come to your room (some street girls). If you want to try an escort agency or take a girl from a different bar, you'll need to rent a room in a different hotel.
4) Security is poor. Every one of the cleaners has access to your room. On multiple occasions I've had guests walk into my room thinking it was theirs. A couple of the times it was because the front desk gave them my room while I was using it, but I've also had guys just walk into the wrong room -- their key just worked on my lock. I have no idea how many times that has happened when I WASN'T there! Keep your valuables in the safe.

If you are planning on only taking up Hong Kong (or related) girls, Cascadas is a good choice -- especially on a Mon-Tues.

Personally, I stay in a regular hotel outside the Zona because I like to use escort agencies. I will occasionally get a discounted room in the Zona at Cascadas, or Coahuila, or Rizo de Oro in addition to my regular hotel room, just for the convenience of having a place to relax and charge my phone for a few minutes in between fichas.
