has nothing to do with length of date, simply has everything to do with the date being a particular gal. And, again travel expenses not deposit. Gina understood that.

Now to answer your question, yes and no. My current policy is when it comes to a shorter (two hour or less) session, I don't require a deposit.

For a multiple hour / day engagement, no the questions in my original post aren't moot. It doesn't matter if someone has booked many dates with me in the past. Regardless of if I've met a suitor a dozen times or if someone new wants to see me, I'm still going to need a portion up front to set aside considerable amounts of time beyond a few hours. I understand that. Perhaps I'm just lucky my arrangement with a certain gal has developed the way it has. But my definition of long term friends is multiple years.

I also want to comment on the electronic trail evidence thing. Yes that could be a concern.
But, if it's a long term friend, why would it still be a concern? Been dating quite a while, prob already know each others rw stuff anyway and trust should have developed.

I require a deposit if I am traveling or hosting in a part of the city where I normally don’t host. Deposits help cut down on time wasters, fantasy bookers and guys that simply can’t hold up their word on seeing you. If I’m spending 100-150+ on a hotel for a night, and traveling to a side of town that I’m never in to please other gentlemen, they shouldn’t hesitate to send a deposit.

This is what’s happening now. I’ve gotten my deposits for the 8th-10th at the galleria area with zero complaints. Guys that want to see you, will.

I have never given a deposit to a lady I did not know well, unless I was asking her to travel, then giving her the air fare in advance is reasonable.

Once I establish a trust relationship (not talking about seeing her once or twice kind of thing) I have no problem getting all/some of the financials out of the way. But then a long term relationship is a very different thing.

I can't say that I have never cancelled an appointment but it is an extremely rare occurrence. And I have always made it up to the provider in question. If I ever do request an appointment with you then you will have access to every provider I have ever been with. You will be free to question my integrity with any of them. You will receive the same answer from whom ever you contact.

If that is not good enough for you then we are destined to never meet. Because I am not giving you a deposit

If you get burned by someone taking the deposit, at least you can go write a review regarding that. When guys ghost us and do a no call no show after putting all that effort traveling and paying for ads. We are out money too.

I even take deposits for civilian job too. (I do eyelash extensions)

You've raised a great point Hala. Asking for deposits is very common in other industries. And it's rare that business people like photographers or makeup artists are seen in a bad light for wanting a portion of their rate upfront.
