I've asked this question many times on several forums and the usually the silence is deafening.
Without speculating on what may happen in the future, what has President Obama done in his 4 years in office that has affected you negatively? I mean in your wallet, your lifestyle, what you do on a daily basis, etc.
If you mention healthcare or ObamaCare, what aspects of it have affected you negatively?
I'll give you my feelings in advance. The last year Bush was in office my 401k dropped something like 25%. In the 4 years that Obama has been in office my 401k increased in the neighborhood of +25% in 2009, +15% in 2010, broke even in 2011, and up 14% in 2012. As I approach retirement, this is very important to me and pretty much outweighs all other concerns. He also cut the social security deduction by 2% giving me an extra $200 a month. Not sure how we could afford it but I'm not arguing at this time.
However, I realize everyone is different and the plusses I've seen may be negatives for others. Just interested.

My health insurance costs have increased almost 25%. The price of food and other necessities have increased dramatically. The government continues to monitor all electronic communications. The debt is increasing exponentially, which affects me, my children and grandchildren. Obama now has the authority to detain me indefinitely without due process. Gasoline, which was $2.00 per gallon, is now over $3.00 per gallon. Obama has pushed us toward financial collapse faster than any other President in history, which will effect all of us. Your retirement may not even be able to buy a cart of groceries when the collapse happens.

Your first statement and possibly your second are probably justified. Gas prices -- can't argue with you there other than your $2.00 per gallon figure. Gas prices hit $3.26 in 2008, before Obama took office. Haven't seen the $2.00 figure since 2003 or so. From there on it is total speculation on what MIGHT happen in the future.
At least you answered the question and I appreciate that.

Don't lie, price of gas in January of 2008 was $1.86 (nationwide average according to the department of energy).
My health insurance cost has gone up 15% since Obama took office.
My ambassador to Libya was murdered and not only is someone not held responsible but the White House is hiding the primary witnesses.
The XL pipeline is not being built and the oil will go to China who is working against my interests. Incandescent lamps are outlawed and some very common fluorescent lamps. The only choice is to go to a store and buy lamps made in China for GE.
My countries credit rating has been reduced making it harder to finance our debt which has increased thousands of dollars for me without any benefit.
We have that can't pour piss out of a boot changing the outcome of the elections because they get an Obama phone.
That is just off the top of my head.

Price of gas hit $4.12 in 2008. Had dropped to $1.61 in January of 2009. Steadily increased until recent decrease to $3.35.which is probably close to the average price of gas in 2007 and 2008. .

ObamaCare started to take affect in 2011 or so. What happened before than was more related to simple increases by insurance providers to cover increased costs of medical care, over which Obama had no control.
But I see that you are definitely looking at and emphasizing negatives (light bulbs?) and that is fine. I won't try and change your opinion. I try to balance the bad with the good (my 401k increasing dramatically which will allow me to possibly retire with a nice income).

Moron
You keep reminding us why you should be The Moron of The Year, but we get it already.
There was a world of difference in Hitler being nominated man of the year during war time and with the dripping blood red X across his face, the derogatory intention was made clear.
. . . Apparently you did not get the memo or just too dense to understand the vast difference in meaning.

There was no demand for gas...we were headed for a depression. Gas could drop that low again but so would the stock market. You are an idiot for bringing up the price of gas. Good Lord, you want another depression/recession?

He tried to contain those cost but you idiot Republicans would not support a system the Heritage Foundation came up with and Obama tried to put into effect.

The XL Pipeline is being built now as we speak. People in Texas are bitching about Eminent domain being used to sieze their land.

So what was the reason for Obama to win this illustrious award by Time Magazine?

Since 1927, TIME Magazine has chosen a man, woman, or idea that "for better or worse, has most influenced events in the preceding year." Although TIME's list is not an academic or objective study of the past, the list gives a contemporary viewpoint of what was important during each year. There are many interesting facts about the list:
http://history1900s.about.com/od/peo...f-The-Year.htm
The list of all of them can be found above. It includes every elected president in the US since the inception of the list except one. (Yes it also ignored one who was not elected). It was never intended to be a list of great people or well loved. It was a list of who most impacted the news.
I fail to see how anyone can disagree with this years choice. I mean really who else has had a greater impact on the news of the last 12 months?

Yeah, like the time they named Hitler man of the year in 39
Don't forget the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Obama for what they "expected" from him. We all know how well that went.

Hmmm . . . Once again proving that liberals are more tolerant and morally superior to the rest of us.
