I am more dis-interested in the upcoming season than ever, it feels like. I think the Cowboys are going no where. I thought I was a little excited about the Rangers, back in April, and now I don't care at all.. if I had free tickets, the heat, parking, and 3 hours sacrificed would be my concern, and excuse to stay away.

after Labor Day, I will start caring about Football, I'm sure.. pre-season is almost worthless every year.

Y'all Cowboys gotta be celebrating your team's trouncing of your neighbor yesterday. 34-0. Did the Texans forget they were participating in a football game?

I am very excited about the Cowboys Defense.
Hope everyone stays healthy.

zeke: can you imagine turning down 13 million a year? actually it's only 5 months. On May 18, 2016, Elliott signed his four-year rookie contract reportedly worth $24.9 million with a $16.3 million signing bonus.
The highest paid running back Gurley’s contract pays him $14.375 million annually.

The Cowboys have reportedly offered to make Elliott one of the top two highest-paid running backs in the NFL, but not necessarily the highest-paid.

We think that’s a good enough offer for Elliott to end his holdout, but Thomas clearly disagrees.

In terms of the Cowboys’ reported offer to Elliott, consider that the Jets’ Le’Veon Bell and Rams’ Todd Gurley are currently the NFL’s two highest-paid running backs.

Bell’s contract is worth $13.125 million per year, and he got $27 million guaranteed, all of which was fully guaranteed at signing. Gurley’s contract pays him $14.375 million annually, and he got $45 million guaranteed, including $21.95 fully guaranteed at signing.

So the Cowboys are likely offering Elliott between $27 million and $45 million guaranteed, though it’s not clear how much of that money would be fully guaranteed at signing. Guaranteed money, particularly fully guaranteed money at signing, is what matters most in an NFL contract.

But to Thomas’ point, 15-20 percent more than Gurley would be $51.75 million to $54 million, if we’re going off Gurley’s $45 million guaranteed money figure.

Dallas Cowboys cap space left = 23 million

He gets all that money and he wants more and he won't show up for work until he gets it? If I did that with my boss, I would be canned.

I thought this BEFORE last night's drubbing, but I believe it more now.. the Cowboys would probably gain one victory from Elliott's presence this season..

if I'm Jones, I tell Zeke to fuck off.. Zeke is a distraction anyway, with his off-field bullshit. you need Pollard to catch passes out of the backfield, but he has shown he can do that. if Dak doesn't return to 2017 form, the Boys are fucked anyway.

Those Indiana fans booing QB Andrew Luck because he chose to retire and concentrate on his health are a bunch of disgusting assholes. He is a human being who can bleed and hurt like any of them fans can. He is not some kind of circus or zoo animal placed there for their entertainment and amusement. People are fucking self centered nowadays.
