So you kept holding out the possibility and didn't outright cancel. Was there some problem with just saying no, it won't work this time?

This thread is stupid.

- Maggie do your thing.
- OP find a new one to do your thing with

Just a quick couple of questions:

Does anyone truly give a shit that someone is butt hurt that he got cancelled on?

IS anyone going to not schedule with Maggie over the shit in this thread?

and Finally why should we give a shit OP? Maggie explained her position in waaaay too much detail in my opinion, like she even owed you an explanation to begin with. She is a human being, she can cancel if she farts sideways if she so desires.

So you tell us why we should give a shit? After reading all of this, I still don't know what's in it for me.

Pfft. Vindictive ass bullshit. Everyone is human. Sounds like a misunderstanding taken personally.

Maggie, don't sweat it. You're a badass. Seems like he was clamoring around for a last-minute appt because he didn't plan ahead and took your "maybe" too definitively. He has no one to blame but himself.

The reason I submitted this was because of the lack of respect shown. I would not make an appt with a provider and then blow off that agreed upon time, showing up an hour late. If you look further down in the coed section, UniqueMonique started a thread complaining about a hobbyist being disrespectful to her and not keeping his word about an agreed upon time. This works both ways!!! I mentioned that Maggie said she did not want to leave me hanging and gave her the benefit of the doubt that her car broke down, that she was waiting on AAA and that her phone died like she told me. These are not the issues. The issue is her not calling twice at the agreed upon times. To top it off, she sent me a PM the following day saying that she had a bent rim, went to wal mart to get it fixed, watch them fix the bent rim and spent the night in Oklahoma because of her car problems and didn't get home til the next day. There is no Wal Mart that fixes bent rims. It takes well over 24 hours to fix a bent rim and when you bend a rim and are waiting for AAA on a Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm, you won't have it back the next day, especially on a Sunday. Getting a rim fixed at wal mart is a flat out lie. I called her out on her BS and she accused me of being like a crazy stalking husband. This forum is simply getting information out and people can judge based on its content. This is just the same as when a provider gives out information to stay away from a hobbyist when something bad happens. Yall want to stay safe and we don't want to waste our time or yours.

A bent rim can be fixed in about ten minutes or so with a torch and mallet.

Don't know if walmart would do it that way, but depending on the kind of
bend it is no big deal to fix. Walmart also deals in a lot of tires and many
tire shops have special devices for straightening rims. It is a pretty common
thing to have a bent alloy rim sense it is such a pliable metal.

A machine shop might take a little longer but 24hr would only be if
they couldn't get to it.

Honey, if you don't mind me saying, I think between all of the PM's picking my story apart, all of the PM's interrogating me on exactly what happened, exactly where I was, trying to catch me in a "lie", telling me you can't buy a tire on a Sunday, trying to figure out times and locations etc..
calling Walmart to see if they were open on a Sunday, the time involved in creating this thread, you've wasted far more than the 30 minute appointment you scheduled.
Yesterday you told me it took a week to a bent tire rim fixed, today you have amended it to 24 hours, no doubt because you've called around and invested your time in researching. Please don't waste anymore of your valuable time.
I never said I got it done at Walmart - I said I bought a tire at Walmart. I never said I got it done on a Sunday. I said I drove back on Sunday.
Me even having to go over my activities hour by hour to "prove" things to you is extremley inappropriate. If this is what you do at home to your wife, that's fine but you aren't going to come here do it to me. You don't have that right, canceled appointment or not.
I canceled and I don't owe you an explanation about why. I should of/ could of just said for "personal reasons"..yet as a courtesy I offered an explanation.
I don't owe you anything further.
I've apologized.. Move on.
Thanks and have a good summer.

You could have just posted in the thread you mentioned about respect of people's time instead of trying to post a review targeted at flaming one person. You notice how Unique Monique didn't publicly name who wasted her time or put their handle in the title of her thread? See the difference?

Probably when you have had some time to let it go you'll see it differently than you do now.

Thank you! He did not believe me, maybe he'll believe you
I can't help but laugh! I now know so much about bent tire rims I sure never thought I'd be talking about them on THIS board.. Ha
The rim was just ever so slightly bent on the inside lip..and AAA said it was "probably" be fine to get home and may leak air slowly..but I wasn't comfortable with that.
he told me the whole story was false because it takes a week to fix a bent rim. I sat there and watched them do it 30 minutes.
But if someone has already made up their mind, it's hard to talk to them.
Honestly, it doesn't matter why I canceled.
I canceled and that was that. Hope everyone can move on!

Herkyguy - I would write a defense like that you cut and pasted my pm and it was in response to where I bought a tire but you are just totally obsessed with this. I feel like the continued responding to your posts is fueling this insane obsession about where I got a bent tire rim fixed.
I've never seen anything like it and I'm truly sorry that you feel the way you do.

So did you offer to reschedule? Or instantly go to the standard "I dodged a bullet" bs?
I would just want an effort to make good on the cancelation.

Yohollyrocks STALKER- you frighten me. You sent a request through p411 a year ago. I agreed and as is my way I always call and chat before I give my address. The moment we got on the phone I got a bad bad feeling. Just call it a sixth sense, but I did not want to meet any longer. You might be great in person but you sounded very scary over the phone. I had such a bad feeling that I hung up on you and immediately PM'ed you through p411 canceling the appointment. (I have the screen shot) - I have never done that in my life....but there just was something off about you. It is my right to change my mind if I get a bad feeling.
To anyone who doubts my story.. You can see what type of person he is by his posts here. I sensed who he truly is within the first couple minutes we talked. I don't think you're a good person and I felt afraid on the phone. I don't think I have a "golden pussy".. I felt afraid of you...so I didn't want to go forward.
There was no no show. I canceled.
You have harassed me ever since, pooped on my great reviews, said derogatory things about me back channels and you quite out of the blue sent me a PM breaking the rules of this site by disclosing something negative about me in an ROS in a review and saying how happy you were that I never answered and that you never saw me and what a bitch I am and good riddance to me and a big emotional goodbye.. I mean I was just scratching my head.. I've said about 6 words to you in my entire life..I just didn't get it. You are totally invested in someone you don't even know.
To say I was a little freaked by that PM would be an understatement. I didn't answer which only seems to infuriate you more.
You JUST pm'ed me yesterday begging me to meet you for a cup of coffee or a "danish" or "anything" and I of course did not answer, as I have not answered your dozens of PM's that you have sent over the last year. I suspect that pissed you off, hence your post here on this thread.
Threads like these should be about exchanging information, keeping your fellow hobbyists safe - not for venting your anger when someone declines an appointment with you.

To the original poster, I'm sorry once again.[/QUOTE]

you really need to send that pm to a mod. If he revealed ros to you, they can ban his ass
