SNATCH-short notice availability thread?

Information
Exchange

or at least I thought that's what this board is for. I agree that there should be some guidelines, but god forbid if this board is used to exchange info!

oh well...still think a forum for immediate availability would be useful.

The current ad situation is doing the best it can but cannot fulfill this need.

The mods do not need to micromanage every thread on this forum. Can there not be one thread that serves a purpose that is continuously asked for in Dallas?

Post the rules in a sticky. If we follow them that's great. If not we get a ninety day vacation.

if you all feel so strongly about it, you can
a) buy out the owners and run eccie the way you want,
b) buy a private forum and control who can get in and what can be posted,
c) go out and set up your own provider availability website,
d) (kinda like elsa sang) just "let it go".
e) just go have some delites.
f) live your life
g) anything else.

eccie is NOT the only provider advertising medium in the world.

If you want an extra ad on eccie when you're available, scan over the ISOs and post on one that fits you.

If creampies are your thing then find a bbfs request that describes you best and bump that muthertrucker to the top with some big ass glitter letters and a pic. BAM! There's your ad.

When utilized correctly, the whole requests and ISO forum is a short notice daily ad space. Granted its not as convenient but it's not like a SNATCH makes that much of a difference. I think some people get the idea in their head that their business would be better if Dallas had a SNATCH and that's just not true.

I loved Tinman's SNATCH, but it was a mess bc too many airheads couldn't understand a few simple rules.

I'm all for less moderating of forums, but the fact is that what you'd end up with is the same hookers who post in every ISO would spam the SNATCH repeatedly whenever they have an open orifice and then you'd be bitching about hookers spamming the SNATCH.

Be good with what you got and make it work.

I was proud of my version of SNATCH, since it was the first and the one that spawned the movement throughout Texas and beyond (I wonder if KC still has it's version). I'm supportive of bringing it back.

But....

It would be revisionist history not to admit its limitations. While I chafed at some of the rules that were imposed (kindred spirit in that regard, milfy), THN reminds me that it was the same handful of women posting over and over, somehow seeming to crowd out the occasional users.

I really didn't think that was happening until Gina started her "Available Now" ads. Ladies can only post one ad at a time, and it disappears after an hour. For whatever reason, more women use that venue than we ever saw with my thread, so maybe the "crowding out" theory has merit.

Unlike pmdelites, I do like seeing the question asked from time to time. Maybe it helps educate men and women on the existence and purpose of the P411 ads. Maybe if enough different voices ask for it, we will be allowed to try it again. As I said earlier, some board rules have changed, at least one of which (rates in ads) was a problem when my thread was open.

I'd like to think our little experiment had some impact. SNATCH lives on in some markets, and enough demand exists that Gina created an even better version on P411.

That's progress.

You're contradicting yourself here. Do you want them to manage it and help thin the herd, or do you want to be relaxed moderation and something they don't have to micromanage?

I do use the P411 feature, it's hit or miss for me.

I post to the ISO threads that are pertinent to my menu, location, and schedule. This actually works better than the P411 feature for me.

I see a lot of lurkers who do not post at all and a snatch thread would benefit them greatly, along with all the more active members and those without P411.

Also just because a bunch of ppl haven't replied to this thread doesn't mean they don't want SNATCH

What about instead of an available NOW snatch thread, having a snatch thread that allows one available now (or available today) ad to be posted once a day, every day, only by verified providers to indicate that they are available now or that day or....whatever.

I understand DFW is a large venue. So police the thread column for one available today ad per day. Simple rule that keeps it simple. Let em post.

If other rules are needed, like no photos or limited number of lines. That is ok too. Why is it ok? Because the guys will do the brunt of policing it......see below.

If a lady posts more than once a day (or breaks a photo or line number rule), guys can (RTM) report it to a moderator for final say so points can be applied. Let the guys police it......and the mods just check for at least a 24 hour interval between the a RTMed post and a prior post, photo or lines used in the post. If there is a rule violation, give 5 or 10 points for the violation. (25 points =90 day vacation) That will stop multiple daily posters real fast.

Heck, let the moderators give points to the guy's for false reports, so that guys wont get too nitpicky. That is, only blatant obvious violations should be the ones that get reported. Keep it simple.

Put a sticky at the top with some bullet point rules and make it for all DFW (not just Dallas or Fort Worth)
Easy as pie.

OR, let the verified providers post in the regular ad columns twice a week, plus once for weekend lineup. Although this second option may be more difficult for mods to logistically police for a variety of reasons not worth discussing here.
