excuse me stiggie, but my statement is true, that isn't to say there aren't great Cubans but throwing all the Cubans and Dominicans and others in together, overall the Cubans are over rated........by a lot

and quite frankly, it depends what a customer wants also.....those looking for a mild to medium are not going to be happy with most Cubans

and furthermore................... .. go fuck yourself

saying Cubans are above the others is like saying stig only bangs hot spinners........ and we know that isn't always the case

Well excuse me Chizz, you contradicted yourself. How are Cubans over rated? You can get milder Cubans, like Fonseco or Sancho Panza, which are very good. I'm not dissing non Cuban cigars. There are many great ones. I've had most. To my taste, nothing better than a true Cubano. Hopefully, they show up here shortly. I hate going to Gordon's Tobacco in Niagra Falls to get some really good Cubans.

I also enjoy the Montecristo #2. Hard to beat as far as my tastes run.

Chizzy and DK, what would you recommend as a comparable or as a better smoke?

DK has had several DATY sessions with LTight. I think his senses are destroyed.

Honestly, I wish they would have stayed illegal. Once they start to be sold here, the demand will surely drive up prices worldwide and will more than likely reduce quality due to production increases.

I have a couple very reliable sources I've used for years, one in Switzerland and one in Spain, that can get me whatever I need for reasonable prices. That's probably going to get fucked up.

Used to order from Cigar 1 in Switzerland, they were decent and priced right. Gordon's in Niagra has a great Cuban humidor. Great trip for Hos, golf, gambling and Cubans.

This is where I always shop when I visit San Jose..

http://havanahumidorroom.com/index.html

Expat. Nice guy. Says he can ship to US. Never tried it. Always in person.

Think I'll fire one up right now to celebrate the election. Cohiba Esplendido. My all time fave.

That seems like a great place to have a smoke after a trip to the Blue Marlin. Thanks for stopping in the Pgh forum. You're welcome anytime. Unlike Asswipe.

Welcoming as always, BAMBULLY.

I used to have a guy in Mexico who could get me anything from Habanos, even their short filler shitty sticks, which, btw, were better (spitting aside) than just about anything else.

Must be the earth down there.

When they open the market up, the market will drive the price.

The Dominican mfrs already fucked up the market here by getting us gringos to pay big bucks for their goods, advertised as "almost as good as Cuban."

So when we get the real thing, be prepared to pay more. Because, of course, they are as good as Cubans.

Me, I'm more excited about getting access to Havana Club rum.

99.9999% of "Cuban" cigars sold in Mexico are counterfeit. I bet you really liked the "Cohibas" in the glass top boxes.

Actually, these were from Habanos. My "dealer" was from the Yucatán...

I also had a contact in London, but the shipments got confiscated about 40% of the time.
