I know all about Jerry Rice. He's one of my favorite players. Jerry Rice is the GOAT of WR, but Jerry Rice did not put together 6 consecutive seasons that were statistically as good as AB did. No one did. That's simply a matter of fact, so Jerry Rice has nothing to do with what I said.
AB has a ring and caught a TD in the SB. TB12 brought him there and let him stay in his home because he recognized the greatness.
The guy got caught doing 110 on fucking McKnight Road. Not the turnpike or some country road, a place where other people are put in serious danger. People get tickets every day. Most of the time their employer never finds out about it. No moms or kids were killed. I've been on that road hundreds of times. Maybe even a thousand. I know the exact section where he got the ticket. There's not an intersection every 1000 feet on that section, let alone every 10. Which sports league or team would "can" someone for a traffic ticket?

NHL player Dany Heatley was speeding with alcohol in his system when he wrecked and killed his teammate. He was not even suspended, let alone canned.
MLB player Jayson Werth was caught doing 105mph in Virginia and spent 5 days in jail, but was not suspended, let alone "canned."

Burfict was a dirty player. i think the hit you guys refer is the second in this clip where Burfict nails Brown in the head with his shoulder. there's another hit toward the end on Brown from another game.

I've never even heard of anyone getting fired for a traffic ticket. I'm sure you could find someone somewhere, but it's extremly rare. Many people who work for organizations with integrity get DUIs and keep their jobs. Your off base analysis was due to the bias that you've demonstrated against AB, when you said that you celebrated his self destructive acts, and when you made that "ghetto" comment. Make no mistake about it, AB took himself out of Liberty City through hard work and dedication, and with laser focus and determination became way better at his craft than any of us will ever be at ours. How many high school WR are there that dream of making it to the NFL? Hundreds of thousands, and he made it to the absolute pinnacle, against all odds.
I'm sad to see him self destruct after the dirty Burfict hit, but it doesn't take away from what he accomplished previous to that, and it doesn't take away from the SB ring or the SB touchdown that he earned after it.
As for the "shit show," Charley, the before and after portions aren't even close. There's no doubt he was a bit divaish before, but almost every notable public incident occurred after.

Not the one with the shoulder though that surely didn't help. The one later in the video is what were talking about. Helmet to helmet that knocked Brown out cold for a while. He was put in the protocol and was not cleared to play the next week, which severely hurt the Steelers chances of advancing in the playoffs, and seems to have severely fucked up AB's brain.
