Google voice or disposable phones should be a given. If you're smart, you have at least one bank account separate from your SO anyway. Having a reasonable excuse to be away from your SO for a period of time is key. You can't just start making up questionable excuses. Luckily, I have a pretty flexible work schedule, so i never need an excuse to be "out of the house."

THe TOR network with firefox is always a great way for gents to go. Use duckduckgo as your search engine and it will allow for greater anonimity..

For local....

And while on business trips, don't put two meal room service deliveries on the hotel bill or a cc.

And, for those that have SO's that sometimes like to join the business trip, get your schedules straight. Also, consider not having dinner with a gal Scrabble player at the same hotel's restaurant.
Cause; Hotel parking attendents will not stop your SO from breaking all the glass on "her" car (but they will make sure the cameras are working).
