Funny, Friendoffailure... I dont waste much time compaining about someone I have never seen... If OZ is really " just trying to help " he would have done it in private and would not have called her out by name..( its rude, smug ,borish behavior etc etc etc). and there is an annual reunion on 4-21 at the SJM

I have only one comment on this: A gal has only an hour to edit her ad, unless she gets help from a mod to make a correction.

I take that back.. I have another comment: This reminds me of people who go out to eat and complain about the food before they have taken a bite. They complain to the kitchen, get their meal replaced and eat it. Then ask the manager to take it off the bill.

I did mention it in private, and a day later there was no sign of any attempt to correct the false ad.

Thought it might be helpful to other people to have the information public. Would have had no value without referring to the specific ad. Also, there was information about the provider's attitude, which others have commented was helpful to them.

I did not call her any rude names, or put her down in any way. Just tried to describe the behavior that I thought was a problem.

Did she have any other options? PM a mod, or repost the ad, maybe even correct it with her own thread in Co-ed?

And I see nothing in common with your analogy. It's more like the restaurant wasn't open at the time posted on an advertisement, and the manager didn't correct the advertisement. I didn't complain about her BCD at all. Just her TCB.

Again, does my time have no value? I spent a certain amount of time texting her and clearing up the misunderstanding. I wouldn't have bothered texting her in the first place if her ad had not been false. And she took no action to correct the problem.

Here is the problem: your time has value, yes, but you are the only one who chooses how to spend it. No one owes you for your decision. I mean, if you are too busy to read provider ads and make a contact request, then don't do it, because you don't have the time. But, the choice is always yours.

it does not appear that the provider intended to confuse anyone or waste your time. unless I am missing something here.

But if an ad is posted, and I spend time responding to it, then the ad turns out to be false, then I've wasted my time based on false pretenses.

I'm sure the provider didn't intend for her ad to be false. But near as I can tell, she's still done nothing to correct it. It still says "evenings", which she doesn't offer.

I saw her...and Tcb was flawless. She prefers to not work into evenings...and for an admirable reason. But it doesn't sound like she is against a later call if she knows u.
Not speaking for her...but its the impression I got.

Heres a thought Oz, you can be in charge of ALL provider ad post and provider reviews. Read and get back with your corrections. They can start a new section for you. Maybe some of my Eccie brothers and some of the ladys would like to help name your new section. I would go with " Mr. Know it All ".. Im sure there has to be a bunch of great names .

I will say only this is one of the loveliest, nicest ladies I've ever seen. Her TCB has always been perfect and I'm looking forward to seeing her again soon.

Pretentious, yeah probably. Omnipotent and omniscient, hardly. For example, when an ad says "evenings", I assume that evenings are offered. I'm not clairvoyant, so I can't read the mind of the OP.

As far as Christmas is concerned, is false advertising acceptable one month out of the year? I don't think it is, so I opened the subject for discussion. Guess that makes me a snob, or someone else nutty. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.
