It is only when I am in agressive persuit of a goal that I am at peace. I need direction and I have been lacking that for over 3 months, but I think I have finally found something that will occupy my mind. This was like a perfect storm for me. I went into a funk and then changed jobs and I am bored in my new position. I need to be overwhelmed at work.

First, good for you for getting back on track.
I've never really been that "out of control" but when I do I usually go for a run outside and it just makes me feel better. Anything outdoors tends to relax me and put me at ease. It's my own meditation.
