All I am saying is that the status quo is not acceptable. The current healthcare reform is not perfect. Some think it is a start that could be improved upon. If you hate it for some valid reasons (and not just because you hate Obama), you need to come up with constructive alternatives and convince others about them.

The idea that politicians don't, or aren't able to, do everything they say they'd like to do seems to be a new concept with some people. Not surprising, since these same people seem to have been locked away in a cave somewhere for the 9 months the bill was debated.

Unfortunately the Canadian system is far from perfect, their costs are much lower and it is decent for general services, but can become a horror story when seeking out specialized treatment. Waiting times of 6 months are not unheard of.

Our parents KNEW BETTER! They realized these industries and businesses are nothing but a bunch of crooks and HAD TO BE tightly regulated, or they will rob you blind. Our parents were smart....those who followed, not to bright, and too easily swayed by slippery tongued businessmen BS, who would sell there mothers for a fast buck!
Maybe you and I are of different age, but aren't our parents the crooks who deregulated all this shit, leveraging and stealing, burdening the future with enormous debt?

There's no shortage of Canadians coming to Buffalo for medical services.

Was speaking of the parents and grandparents who went through the Great Depression. They saw firsthand what happened when pretty much all businesses were allowed to to run unregulated doing whatever they pleased because powerful business interests claimed the free market would self-correct itself. Well it did correct itself, by causing that Great Depression! Today we have another crop of pols owned by powerful business interests claiming the solution is to drop all regulations again! Some folks just never learn anything from past history.

Unmitigated Greed and unregulated health-care corporate caprice IS the current problem!

They blame Oblamacare fearing it will end their gravy train and reign in medical costs as IS DONE in most of the other advanced countries in the world.
