I stayed up with those guys till the filibuster ended. I was ready to stay up all night to support what they were doing. I've left messages with both Rand and Ted. Thank God someone actually said, " hmmm our president is trying to have the ability to kill American's on American soil?" I don't give even one shit what you liberal idiots have to say on this issue that isn't in support of the constitution.
When I start to slip and think maybe democrats aren't so bad, I just come to the sand box to remind me how completely anti American you all actually are. You think you're just giving people on the right a bunch of shit, but what you're really doing is proving you are all traitors to our country. Fuck you liberal jack asses. I have no mercy in my heart for any of you. If you were on fire, I might piss on you.... but I'd charge extra.

You must not have much to do. What a colossal waste of time for everybody involved.

Right...only small-minded ignorant lefties....and the editors of the Wall Street Journal.

Here's how fucking crazy Rand Paul is: Politico is reporting that he considered inserting a catheter in order to avoid bathroom breaks. What kind of pussy is he anyway? Strom Thurmond filibustered the civil rights legislation for over 24 hours. Paul is a lightweight.

apparently Paul is too dumb to know the rules ... so someone reminded him.
quote;
The spokesman, Jay Carney, told reporters that Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. had sent Mr. Paul a letter saying that the president did not have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American on United States soil who is not engaged in terrorism.
like always, Paul and his teafreaks make mountains out of molehills.
your tiera is on backwards JD ...

Perhaps due to the messenger? He is someone on the right. Therfore he must be wrong?
Some people will support "their" side no matter what. I think Timpage doesn't mind Obama having the power, because he is a "good guy" who would not abuse/use it - except in the most extreme circumstances.
But if Bush asserted that power, he would be against it.
Folks on the right do the same thing.

In cant understand why some people think Obie or anyother president has that "power" ..
pay attention ..
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. had sent Mr. Paul a letter saying that the president did not have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American on United States soil who is not engaged in terrorism.
that said , a TERRORIST acting against this country IMO is no fucking American, natural born or otherwise ..

Actually YOU need to pay attention. Particularly to sketchy politicians who insert weasel words or qualifiers into statements. Weasels words that YOU missed.
That statement says that the President cannot kill an American on US soil if he "is NOT engaged in terrorism".
TRANSLATION - If an American IS engaged in terrorism, the President can kill him right here on US soil. No due process required.
Do you see the difference now?
I can't for the life of me understand why this is a debate. If the terrorist is on US soil, then we don't need a drone - we can just arrest him.
If the terrorist is armed and ABOUT TO KILL someone (e.g., about to shoot a hostage because his demands have not been met), then ANY law enforcement agency (or even private citizen) is permitted to use deadly force to kill the terrorist - whether it is with a rifle, a handgun, or a drone.
It seems Obama wants to reserve the right to use a military drone under his control to do the killing. Why can't he just say "No, I don't have that power" - he doesn't - and let the FBI (or local LE) use whatever means they choose to kill the terrorist.

I guess Holder's letter was enough. Randy sat down and Brennan was confirmed.
Supreme jerkoff!

that seems somewhat narrow IMO ... a terrorist?
I seriously doubt there could be more than one trapped inside a house or building armed with some sort of explosive device that could level a city block, nah, of course not ... so send in SWAT and arrest them !! That'll do it !! .. and the entire SWAT team is dead meat as soon as they surround the place and start kicking down doors ..
try to grasp the big picutre and apply different scenarios to the need for drones that could possibly save american lives ... fuck the terrorists
