Ahh, so your typical mastery of the English language at it's best. There is a huge difference between a "Republican initiative" and "roots in".

The same BS was tried with Obamacare as a "Republican initiative".

Both had roots in Republican ideas, but as usual the Dems steal Republican ideas and then totally screw up the implementation. This is just another case in point.

The common core initiative was actually largely bi-partisan in the beginning, but the Obama administration made it a priority to implement and the implementation was as screwed up as Obamacare.

Yes I did admit that some of the ideas of it had Republican roots. I never said they didn't. I just wanted to see if you could justify your "Republican initiative" statement and as usual you came through with nothing that they pushed it.

One has to look no further than the quotes from the OP.

I misunderstood the idea behind common core. I thought the idea was that a kid from the city or from a farm would have the same basic skill set to enable them for college. Just because you plow fields on the weekend doesn't mean you don't learn calculus.
