My point list is empty at the moment, I think they taste like pizza... lol. But seriously, if you guys do it, you know your going to have to make an example of some folks. Where do you draw the line? What if I want to call oscumbo, a lowlife cocksucker, which by the way he is. Would I get spanked for that, or just calling one of the libtards on the board a fucking asshole? Don't know how you're going to moderate this bunch of idiots. Especially since there are people on here who espouse hatred, xenophobia, perversion and evil publicly. Could we really establish a place where people,were called by their handle? Where the president was NOT a cocksucker? Where threads weren't hijacked by circle jerking?

IMHO, it would be extremely difficult and perhaps arbitrary to designate specific threads within the Sandbox as discussion only. Yes, I often start looking through a thread here, and then give up even thinking about posting anything meaningful or thoughtful when I discover it has been hijacked by a few people whose only posts are name-calling and in some circumstances merely repeat previous name-calling posts. Perhaps the solution may be to leave the Sandbox as the Sandbox, very few rules, and create a new forum where a certain amount of civility, at least toward other members is concerned, would be the accepted norm. Calling any public individual whatever you wished to call them would be acceptable, as long as it did not run afoul of any forbidden areas relevant to ALL forums on this site.

You bring up the very points that I raised in some internal discussions. The additional forum idea would be the way to go, as far as I'm concerned. Selling that to management may be more difficult.

Seems to me like great minds think alike CC. And yes, I know from a LOT of experience how hard it can be sell quality ideas to management. OH YES! Management doesn't always want to hear what the proper solution is, just what they THINK the proper solution SHOULD BE.

I don't think an additional forum is needed. We already have that. We just happened to allow the sandbox to become more like it is now in the open rather than direct those folks to that forum and keep the sandbox like it was.

It's very hard to put the lid back on Pandora's box once its opened.

I would say either go back to the original rules of the forums and direct those folks where those types of posts are allowed. Or if they aren't allowed in that area then they can pay for their own forum to do as they please if they can't follow the rules. Or just leave it as it is.

The folks of the sandbox are pretty damn smart and perfectly capable of insulting within the guidelines set forth by owners.
