Jesus Christ was not a socialist. Socialists have been enemies of Christianity from day one. Class warfare is the heart of socialism. The driving force behind class warfare is coveting, desiring the possessions of someone else. The only emotion condemned in the ten commandments is coveting. Socialism is the antithesis of Christianity.

I love it how here, on a SHMB, people quote the Bible to justify their point. Jesus promoted individual charity and compassion, not forced government programs. Hell, it was the government that had him killed.

Your argument is specious.
.

Specious is your argument too.
Romney wrote off his tax deduction. That means you and I have to make up the difference or we will have a larger deficit.
So Romney gave away mine and your money.
Fuck him and you . Him for doing it and you for being so God Damn stupid as to not understand how the tax code works.

Wrong COG. It was the Jewish authorities, the ones that HIS ministry threatened that ensured that he got killed. They had to go to the roman occupiers to carry out the deed because they could not do so under the law.
My point Joe, was the the biblical text clearly stated that a Christian is to submit to the will of the Government because the Government is established by God. It says nothing about HOW MUCH tax to pay, only to pay what the government requires because it is your duty as a Christian.
If the republicans don't want the Bible texts thrown at them then they shouldn't bring their faith up in relation to their political views.
Speaking of which, I see Ralph Reid is back.

I understand that cowards who are too scared to fight and defend their country like to minimize the dangers our country faces and denigrate the military, so I understand your point of view. You don't want to emotionally confront the reality of your cowardice.
Around the time of Reagan, you would have been of age to join the military, but didn't have the balls to do so. I can understand your hatred of Reagan and your motivation to lie about his accomplishments.
?

Reagan cut and run when they killed Marines in Lebanon. Fact, not a lie. He had Ollie North selling arms to Iran. Fact, not a lie. Who in their right mind would apply for a job to work for that Coward? Reagan did nothing during WWII but run around and sell war bonds. A very dangerious job indeed.
The price of oil dropped and Russia could not keep up with our overspending. They now appear to be in better shape than we are. Reagan spent all the seniors savings for what? Romney says they are still our biggest threat.
Go jack off upside down and make your hands and mouth useful for something other than lies.

WDF, your attitude is that all income belongs to the government, and they should decide what we will be allowed to keep. Is that really the system you want?

It was Roman Centurians, government employees, that drove the nails into Christ's hands and thrust a spear into his side. The Romans crucified thousands of Christians.

My attitude is that if you get to take a deduction , then somebody has to make up the difference you silly SOB. It is simple math.
Quit changing the subject.
Mitt Romney's Charitable deduction comes from all taxpayers, yet he gets all the benifit.
Same with home mortage deductions. I am not saying if that is good or bad but it is a fact.
My attitude is that you should not bitch about the deficit if you do not want to close all the loop holes, especially the ones that benifit you. Is Romney wanting to close the Charity deduction? Are you? If not STFU with your whining....pleaee, for maybe a week.

The Roman's weren't thinking about Jesus until the Sanhedrin had him brought before Pilate for claiming to be a King which would be considered treason under Caesar.
HE WAS SET UP.
The Romans were crucifying Jews and Christians, not just Christians.
Have you not read the scriptures at all?

They can't have it both ways and neither can you. You either believe in what Christ taught or you don't. You can't call it socialism when it's at a government level.

I can't see where you've proven anything.

He skiped over the greedy part.
Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
Proverbs 15:27
Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Acts 20:35
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Luke 12:33
Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys
