I love movies. But award shows are stupid. And I think Obama is the best actor ever.

Because D'Jango and Lincoln both won awards??? Can't see the connection. Let's try; one was directed by Taratino and the other by Spielberg both are known assholes. I guess that is one connection. Spielberg recycles some of his themes and ditto for Tarantino. Spielberg always seems to go for John Williams who replicates other composers for his movie themes and Tarantino in D'Jango rehashed music from Bud Spencer/Terrence Hill movies among others. Tarantino strays from reality too often in his movies and in Lincoln Spielberg had to change some known history to make some arcane political point. All the reps (3) from Connecticutt voted to ratify the 13th amendment instead of only one. I guess they do have a lot in common.

Of the movies nominated, I've only seen Argo. I absolutely loved it!

Of course you can't see the connection.

But lets enjoy the movies, OK?

Iran dismisses "Argo" best picture Oscar

"Iran's state TV dismissed the Oscar-winning film "Argo" on Monday as an "advertisement for the CIA" and some Iranians called the award a political statement by America for its unflattering portrayal of the aftermath of the 1979 Islamic Revolution."
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-207_162-...picture-oscar/

Iran didn't like the "history" portrayed in ARGO, and they couldn't deal with current events either. Note the Photoshopped dress:
