But sperm itself is alive, so considering it contains human DNA, it's living, and sperm has a fleshy matter would that not count ? Life starts inside the sperm and is incubated inside of the egg, where it undergoes transformations and growth. It is not floating around comatose until it reaches the egg, if I am not mistaken.
