Talk about a thread becoming a self-fulfilled prophecy. Create a thread about hooktards hijacking the board. Have the thread hijacked by hooktard and silence any intelligent conversation. Classic.
Mods, exhibit A - This Thread. Why you need to start bringing the wood (no the other wood) to the Co-Ed section. For members who want to jack up there stupid post count egos and obvious attempts for advertising go to the Sand Box so I can have a decent conversation with other hobbiers about... I don't know, the hobby. I am left to the sausage fest in the Men's Lounge for any real conversation. Sucks many ladies refuse to partake in co-ed because of this nonsense or are drowned out by the noise. Is it so hard to tell a few abusers to talk trash in the Sand Lot instead of Co-Ed?

There is an OBVIOUS solution to this whole matter. Many won't like the idea and I cant say that I would either but IF THERE WERE A POST COUNT LIMIT PER DAY, like 5 or 10, it would calm a lot of the "drama" post and get rid of the ones who consistantly add nothing to a topic (just trying to increase their post count, it would get rid of many who only chime in with +1). how about only being able to start one thread in CO-ED everyweek. Just some thoughts, it would be "boring" also, but there are easy ways to "fix it"........

Why
Just thought I would ask.
Some of us providers don't even post threads in co-ed, I did today though, don't hurt me okay. I actually thought about you when I posted it. Parts of me have to agree with you, which is well.....not good.
Unfortunately some providers make it bad for the rest of us. We all don't post ads in co-ed, rants, or whatever else you can think of.
Dang I went off topic
Sorry DED.
Yes some topics in co-ed stink, somebody start a thread of what flavor they like to taste on pussy.

At least I read Co-Ed now. I don't want it to turn back into a lame collection of "Happy Birthday", "NBA Policy", "What's your favorite flavor of ice cream", and "Who was your first" threads? I have a better idea. Put those threads in the Sandbox and leave Co-Ed as it is now. The drama is all hobby related...

Yup... let's limit how many times the providers can post ... and limit what they can say ... and limit what the topics can be about... then and only then will the Co-Ed section become Paradise ... signed... The ECCIE Taliban
... maybe change the name Co-Ed to Sausage Fest....

As a new guy around here, I'll give my perspective.
When I first came here I was looking for an "outlet" where I contribute to the conversation, as well as frequent the latest in who is keeping the Hobby interesting.
I made the assumption the Sandbox was a place where we could discuss other libations such as (in my case) Guinness, wine, and other luxuries or enjoyments of life (great restaurants, places for live music, TV shows, movies, etc).
There seems to be quite a few guys here who have made enjoying the finer things part of their character. When you look at it as a place where "reviewing" is a method to distinguish the cream from the cud it only makes sense that any guy here has a natural tendency to rate the things they like whether it be a lady, a wine, or a good Scotch.
Of course, I don't limit my interest to just what the guys think. I definitely want input from the ladies too. In the end, openly discussing these topics helps you find people with common interests, and ultimately might lead to Hobbying with someone with whom you have a connection.
As far as the Co-Ed section, the obvious point for it is there, but it does seem somewhat organic and ebb and flow with its function.
However, it doesn't take long to figure out you better have thick skin around here. You make one mistake or venture outside the common line of thinking and you can expect some pretty clever responses from high-count posters. But, that's part of the charm of this website, there is a sense of ownership by the users, and a feeling of pride.
I tend to get a little wordy, so I'll wrap this up, but I do have a question(s). You guys mention people building up their post count:
What advantages are their on this website to having a high post count? Are there perks or benefits that come with higher numbers?
