All I know is that there was only one person who constantly tried helping her. He has been described as a sugardaddy, friend, father figure, lover and stalker. He repeatedly got her help when she fell. No doubt about that he cared for her. I asked her several times if she was OK, and she always would say, "You dont believe those lies, do you" If she cant admit to the problem and he couldnt get through to her, there was basically no chance I could have helped her. She had to save herself
As far as enabling goes I dont agree with that theory, I have lost friends the same way, and they just had regular paying jobs. It really sucks when it happens, and I have been grieving since I got a phone call on a Saturday that she was in the hospital brain dead. I will miss our conversations...
