Since there are more Trump supporters on this forum than Biden supporters, Biden gets a lot more flak than Trump here.

First off, I don't think this country has many huge problems. We are the greatest country in the world. In my opinion, Donald Trump will do more harm to our country if elected than any other option.

Maxine Waters was born in 1938. She lived through the end of the Jim Crow laws and the overt racism of the past. She’s seen plenty of proof that conservative militias exist and that January 6th linked those militias to Trump’s political cause. She rightly points out that we all have reasons to fear political violence.

Her attitude in this case is probably a little hyperbolic but the government should listen to her. Being prepared for violence is not the same thing as calling for violence.

The problem of course who gets to decide on what exactly “great” means.

I don’t want the heritage foundation and project 2025 to be the model for a new America. Trump is a weak ass president and if he wins he’ll be used by the conservative right as a shill to distract from the chaos and corruption that will surely follow.
