Are you really that fucking dumb? It hasn't yet gone into effect ... really? Get Obama's jizz off your eyes and start seeing the reality. Insurance rates are going up, doctors are bailing, studies have shown this POS is going to cost much more than expected, etc., etc.

and yes, Gouging medicare is no longer an option ..

Love it or hate it, the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, has forced the country to evaluate the costs behind medical treatment. In particular, medical billing has come under recent scrutiny, revealing a tremendous amount of price gouging and absurd billing by hospitals. Articles in TIME and stories in CNN are exposing how bad things have gotten. Insurance companies negotiate prices, and help to keep some costs in check, while Medicare and Medicaid regularly keep prices on the extremely low end for recipients. However, for the unfortunate millions who have no insurance, prices can be four to ten times higher than what insurers regularly pay for the same service. As many self-employed people have also discovered, so called “discount” insurance plans are often just as bad as no insurance at all.

so in essence, youre a dumb motherfucker, kiss my Texas ass!

A great quote I once heard....."If you thought healthcare was expensive, what until it's free".

Many will just pay the fine and go without, until they need it. Since there's no prohibition on pre-existing conditions, they'll sign up and drop the coverage once they're well. This means the "pool of risk" so necessary for insurance, will not be there. The system will be flooded with the sickest people. Rates will soar even more than the 100% + increases now being announced in CA.

There will be subsidies, there will be waivers, all dispensed to friends of the administration. So for those of us who were fond of redistribution, just wait.....

The US system with insurance companies as the middle man is an out-dated business
model. They do nothing for health other than adding administrative costs, which includes executive pay such as United Heathcare's CEO $50M million salary. A real universal health care system has to happen sooner or later.

Interesting that you say that. All my Brit and Canadian ex-pat friends say they prefer their universal health care system over the US. But the Limbaugh sheep and other uninformed insist that the US has the best system anywhere. My point was, that we need a real change, perhaps a single payer model, not some half-assed reform run by insurance companies whose primary mission is to pay off lobbyists, stockholder and executives.

You and ASSUP must have gone to the same school as neither can read. I am not arguing that the POS known as Obamacare hasn't actually been implemented. BUT, the effects are already being felt.

My argument is that it sucks because it didn't go far enough to fix the problem.

Which provisions specifically are in place dipshit?

What mandates are forcing doctors out of business and insurance companies (another major misconception of yours and most of the whiny mewling cuntd) to raise THEIR rates?

Please help us out here.

I totally agree with that Seeker. The bill was so watered down that it left way too many parts of the system unadressed.

Of course, jagoffs like Satexasguy think it's already in force and ruining The American way of life!
