I liked the same movie with Lawrence Fishburn and Cuba Gooding Better. This is a remake for money.

he has enough cash to back his own movie. This is 90% Lucas publicity and 10% Hollywood assholes.

I don't know if this racism or not. Hollywood and Lucas are the business of producing a product that makes them money. Did the Hollywood people think that Lucas's name was not enough to guarantee a profit? Maybe Hollywood was thinking this movie has already been made. Maybe this is considered a remake in Hollywood. I've seen the trailer and I missed the 1940s music. Maybe they should do something original about the 614th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Or how about this coming out in February http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dS7XkRcD-c

before this post i had no idea what the movie red tails was about. I think this could be a great starting point to encourage people to do more research on them. Im not a big military or history buff so I dont think a documentary on it would interest me from the jump, but this movie with a highly regarded black cast is enough to get my buns in the seat.

OAN: Hollywood is tolerant to an extent. There's a certain glass ceiling in hollywood that blacks cant surpass for reason unbeknownst to me. The majority of successful black actors and actressess are in the comedic genre or playing some aggrandized stereotype.(i.e Denzel Washington in Training Day, Halle Berry in Monster Ball or Viola Davis in the Help) If hollywood were as liberal and equal as some of you make it seem, I'd think we'd see more black depicted in positive roles. Hollywood is not free of prejudice or shadeism.

Exotic the movie was already made. It was called the Tuskegee Airman and it was made in 1995. It starred Courtney B. Vance, Lawrence Fishburne, Malcom-Jamal Warner, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Andre Braughner.

"Red Tails" has all of the markings of being another "Pearl Harbor": glitz and effects with a sickly story line. Some of the trailers show the planes doing impossible loops and wing-overs.

"The Tuskegee Airmen" will probably remain the better story.

Newsbusters is a fascist right wing mouthpiece on everything they publish. They are political hacks doing online what AM Hate Radio and Fox "News" do in the broadcast world. The Nerd that started the site is a pathetic little Hannity wannabe.

Hannity likes the theme song of "Let Freedom Ring" yet actually organized Dixie Chick album crushing events.

Hannity was using "Let Freedom Ring" long before the Dixie Chicks were making fools of themselves. Martina McBride song about divorcing an abusive husband. Freedom is more than tolerating stupid speech. Freedom is also about reacting to speech. Freedom is about government censorship and not the right, yes right, of the people to condemn twits and to withhold their praise and dollars

The Tuskegee Airman like Baseball and the Civil War were documentaries. They certainly weren't boring.
