Let's flip your premis......It is the Senate's right to confirm. Plain and simple. Any assault on this Constitutional Duty by a smarmy little Demagogue's insistance on sending Liberal/Socialist/Progressive/Democrat lackeys for confirmation will be the end of the Democrat Party.

I think Hillary is finished. So Bernie will be the Democratic candidate.

Establishment Republicans and anyone with half a brain will recoil from the narcissistic sociopath Trump. So they will either not vote or vote for Bernie and hope that Congress can keep him in check for 4 years.

But that means that Bernie will get to pick Scalia's replacement - assuming obstructionism by the GOP while Obama is still in office. Even is the GOP does NOT obstruct for 9 months, Sanders is likely to pick Ginsberg's replacement. Let's be honest, she has had one foot in the grave for some time now.

So, who does Bernie pick?

And IFFY, do you see the consequences of backing populist assholes now?

I dismiss your premise. You have all the political acumen of a freshman student. This election, on the GOP side, has not really been about who is going to replace Obama but preventing Hillary from replacing him. The moderates might bitch and moan but they will come around just to stop the democrats. You might also want to wipe your crystal ball because there are a number of democrats who will not vote for an avowed socialist (the over 50 crowd) and another group who will stay home because Hillary is not the candidate. They want to make history with both a former first lady, a woman, and Hillary as their leader. Bernie is Jewish and there is a strong streak of anti-semitism in the black activists rank and file. So if Bernie can get by Hillary, her smear team, and the super delegates trick, he still has to get the black vote on his side.

True dat...

The senate has the responsibility to advise and consent. That means voting on each nominee. Obama can nominate who he wants but it is up to the Senate whether or not they will assume the office. If you think a recess appointment will get Obama what he wants, think again. Obama can make a recess appointment but that only applies if the Senate is in recess (the Supreme Court has already thrown this back in the face of Obama with his appoints to the NLB when the Senate was NOT in recess) and a recess appointment only continues until the next session of Congress begins (or is it ends?)

The Senate will confirm the "smarmy little demagogue's" nominee. Plainer and simpler...but not than you.

Hillary is not out. She is still the odds on favorite to win. Not that it matters. If Hillary does get indicted, like she should, Biden will be the next President. Sanders is a nut job, but he would be hard for the Establishment to control. Hillary or Biden will kiss their asses until the cows come home for the appearance of a little power and a paragraph in history books. Cruz, Rubio, Bush will too, but I think Hillary has already been selected.

Me? A conspiracy guy? Just following FDR who said, "Presidents are selected, not elected." Argue with him.

And you need to pull your head out of your ass. And also learn to read.

I said there were TWO options - including NOT voting at all.

I won't vote for Hillary, Bernie, or Trump. That's a choice between a crook (Hillary), a commie (Bernie), and a narcissist (Trump AND Hillary).

I will vote Libertarian or stay home.

You are apparently willing to vote for any dickwad that wins the GOP nomination. Shame on you. You are the problem, not the solution. The GOP used to be a party of principles. If Trump wins, it is just a party of populist morons with no guiding principles. The same as the Democrats.

You're the douchebag that thinks Sarah Palin is a political kingmaker. How did that work out in Iowa, mope?

Keep dreaming. Do you really think Trump is an improvement over Hillary? Trump doesn't have any support among moderates. He has only mouth-breathing mopes like you and IFFY, who are unfortunately about 25-30% of the COP base and who won't listen to reason. You really think the rest of the world is going to change its mind and suddenly like Trump.

Yeah? Name three. Especially if the other choice is Trump.

You mean there is a strong streak of anti-semitism among rednecks like you and IFFY, don't you, mope?

Just like you had an anti-Catholic streak when Kennedy was running. And an anti-Mormon streak in 2012 when Romney was running.

You only learn AFTER your brains have been beaten in.

"Her delegates" are an excellent bargaining chip for a "get-out-of-jail-free card."

Did someone pee in your oatmeal?

Starting at the end; I have never been anti-Catholic and was not old enough to vote for any Kennedy on the national stage. So fuck you and you owe me an apology. I am not anti-Mormon. I supported Mia Love in Utah with money and voted for Romney. Once again, you get another fuck you and you owe me a second apology.

Anti-semitism? Redneck? I am neither. I am not ignorant and proud of it and if I were to practice a religion...my first choice would be Judism.
One more fuck you (that's three so far) and another apology.

Sarah Palin got Joni Ernst elected in Iowa or did you forget that? As for Trump, a first time political candidate beats people like Santorum and Huckabee who LIVED in the state for the last year. That should say something to anyone who has the wisdom to see.

I expect some democrats will stay home like Senator Joe Manchin who is too conservative (not saying that he is but he is not that liberal) to vote for Bernie. He'll stay home or vote for the Republican. Remember the two black women, former Obama supporters, who are posting videos supporting Trump. Is that three? Sounds like it.

I could name a few college students who are in with Hillary big time for the very reasons I cited but you probably don't know them. That is many more than one.

Like I already wrote, the GOP is riled up this time to make sure that Hillary is not the president. Even the moderates will vote for Trump (who is also a moderate if you look at all of his positions).

So you get some fuck yous and I won't be holding my breath for the apologies but just know that you owe them.

I thought I was on your "Ignore" list. Seems like you are the ONLY person around who thinks Nau's is NOT in Clarksville.

Ignorant redneck hillbilly hypocrite.

In addition, it was smarmy toad Harry Reid and the Dem majority that changed the filibuster rules so only a simple majority is needed to approve a nominee, which the Dems in the Senate won't get, since they don't have a majority. ..whooops. Thank Harry Reid for that Dems.

Win one, lose one.

Davis got her ass beat, and ran the kind of race that earned the loss.

Abbott's meds HAVE made him crazy.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Carry on.
